Ex-Spurs Player Harry Winks

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Irony off the scales, Mickey-boy
Qualify that.
You won't be able to, as it's another of your vacuous attempts at a put down. I'm more than comfortable to support the judgement of our managers, hence why I don't bay for the blood of our match day squad when things aren't perfect.
People like you believe yourself to have superior judgement to Conte et al.
The only people I am confident my knowledge is greater than is serial losers like you.

I suspect the reason Winks gets games under each new coach, is that those coaches have only seen the odd highlight reel of him until they joined.

Us fans, we see every minute of every match. Good or bad. We're at the games, we're watching the whole match on TV, we're streaming it on dodgy Arab TV risking our Internet security and criminal records.

The likes of Mourinho and Conte rock up and they probably haven't seen a great deal of many of our players. But as CollyQC CollyQC says, many a pundit waxed lyrical about Winks and how good he is so the coaches give him a go. And he may turn up as in Liverpool 2-2
But it doesn't last long and he regresses back to hiding in games and then gets dropped.

If he can just somehow outlast the coach, the cycle will repeat.

I'm pretty sure coaches and the manager see much more of what we don't see in training so I'm not buying that.

Winks has outlasted a lot of managers simply because the club has been poor at buying and selling over the past few years and midfield has been arguably the biggest area of neglect (after RB)

He shouldnt still be at the club but people need to accept the fact that we've gone backwards as a club from where we were 3 years ago in spite of Winks being at the club, I don't know why people blame him like he was the cause of it.

when he first came into the team he played an advanced role and was good to that, But then Poch tried to turn him into a DM he just is not powerful enough to do the DM role he also lacks the ability to sense danager so he isalways running here and there instead of being close to the right place before/as the ball is being played

Calling someone a rat cunt is abuse no matter the context.

Still don't get it sorry.

What whining are you on about, do you have a link? A quote? Is there a particular thing he said to upset you?...Because as far as I'm concerned I haven't seen anything out of turn.

If his latest interview upset you then you really need to sort yourself out, it's a positive outlook at his time under Antonio Conte and you've managed to turn that into something that it isn't in order to abuse him, you are beyond help.
Another of my issues with the mob. Turning any issue about the lad to use as a stick to beat him with.
In this media frenzy age reporters constantly look for quotes. So when Winks wasn't playing he expressed disappointment, and that makes him what - a normal human being?
I'd rather have players being pissed off that they aren't getting selected, and caring about it, than players like Dele who was way worse thank Winks, who looked like he didn't give a shit. Winks rolled his sleeves up, obviously worked hard in training and kept getting picked, and yet the baying pack treat him like it's all his fault that he doesn't reach their lofty standards.

What a load of complete cobblers.
You actually believe that Conte picks Winks on his YouTube reel?
Are you doing coke this early?

Quite the most astonishingly stupid post I can remember in a long while

The bloke didn't play and he gets posts galore.

Just weird.
It is weird. He is a home grown player that showed some promise first couple of seasons but hasn't kicked on and probably should have been sold 18 months ago. He certainly needs to be sold this summer for everyones benefit. As someone said he doesnt pick himself and its not his fault we havent replaced him in the squad properly. I reckon we'll get £15m to £20m for him. What is there to hate?

100%.

Would love it if he returned and surpassed what we once hoped for. Unlikely but to vilify the bloke - pathetic.

If we cheered him every game he would probably be picked more (certainly not less) and we would be shitter.

LOL

......Another one that thinks Conte is some weak-minded fool.

Besides, you know there's a world of middle ground between cheering him when it's not warranted and calling him a "fraud rat cunt wanker" even when he doesn't play........?

So anyone not good enough should be booed game in game out? I'd happily sell a dozen of our players and Winks along with Doherty and Sanchez would probably be top of that list but not sure what purpose giving them grief serves. If they're not good enough i'm sure Conte can see it without our help.

Was he? Are there any metrics that prove it?

Played Vs Chelsea. Lost. Terrible midfield performance. (played in 2 of the 3 games in January)
Played Vs Southampton. Lost. Terrible midfield performance.
Played Vs Wolves. Lost. Terrible midfield performance.
Didn't play against Man City, midfield was disciplined, highly resistant, barely made any mistakes, provided regular outlets and involved in all 3 goals.

An improved display in the absence of a player who was highly involved in prior, terrible performances, has to be talked about.

I've never bood a player person, just feels wrong. But I understand when people pay a lot of money to watch the same players make the same mistakes on a yearly basis. Its not like he hasn't had several seasons here without being bood.

Dont get me wrong i dont rate him at all and i want him sold, as i did last summer. His very brief revival under Conte ( 2 or 3 half decent games) has clearly ended and he's reverted to type. But i dont agree with the dogs abuse he gets. He's a home grown Tottenham fan that will net us a few million quid when sold. We're not an ordinary side because Harry Winks is still at the club but because of dreadful decisions and scouting over 5 years.
