I'm not sure they are defending them as they are having a go at posters here saying mean things. I can see their point of view I guess.

His playing skills are indefensible and have been for years. I guess some supporters want different things from their clubs.

I just want people to be more humane. Poor moral character to foist all your high expectations on somebody who's incapable of meeting them and then getting personal.

Don't wanna see him in a Spurs shirt again, but the vile language from some people is out of order.

I suspect Levy instructs each new coach to maximise Winks - get his value up to sell him or get him playing well enough t be of use to the team.

Poch, Mourinho, Nono and Conte have all found it impossible.

People could all want different things for the club but saying things like they want Winks to be at the club till he is 35 and then manage us would be the words of someone who hates the club and doesnt want us to win anything.

Some of the abuse in the ndombele thread was disgusting, also the kane thread in the summer or the aurier thread, etc etc.
