Transfers Have We Signed Gareth Bale Yet?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He's out of contract in the summer and will need a team to play for until the world cup if Wales qualify.
There's every chance he's coming home. Again. 1 year deal then retire IMO
To be honest, if he's 100% fit & focused and we can sort some kinda pay-per-play deal with him, he's still better than a lot of players out there. Plus he's got great experience he could share with the younguns. And if it's only til the WC, I'm thinking there's not much to lose.

But won't happen anyway, especially with Conte in charge

He scored a lot of goals during that loan spell despite Jose barely playing him, why not? Can only benefit the team mentality to have a 4x Champions league winner and club legend in the dressing room. He isn’t just a pace merchant his technical ability is superb so he should cope reasonably well as he enters the twilight of his playing career.

And he doesn't have to play on the wing no more. Look at Cristiano, he knew when it was time to become a much more central, closer-to-the-goal type of forward.

If Gaz came back to play only 20-30 mins per game as either a CF or a ball-playing CM, we could do much worse. He'd still bring loads to the table, incl off the pitch.

But yeah, surely gotta be a last resort type signing and only one you'd do if the money was a real bargain...amd the guy can stay fit most of the season

If he is to come here, it has to be pay per play. Otherwise the fucker will just use us as his personal gym to be fit for wales.

We should have played him more when we had him back before.

His goal to game ratio from then wasn't bad considering how much of those games he actually was on the field.

I reckon he still can turn it on here and there, it's a bit of a shame we're in a position where the possibility of that is much more of a certainty than half our squad even being able to find the keys.

He's got all the motivation he specifically needs in coming back and doing well for Spurs - for Wales Gareth! Do it for Wales!

Towards the end of last season when he was getting regular game time, he was easily the most exciting player to watch. Even the little things, like that cheeky dribble through the City defence making them look like Yeovil, was worth the bunce.

I'd like to see him (and Eriksen) back for a last hurrah just for kicks. Not sure Conte will!

You've all got the wrong end of the stick

We're signing him to cut the ribbon on all the new golf courses that the club are building

If he can explain to some youngsters what methods he used, that they can, to gain his explosive phase, worth it. If he can get fit enough for sharp 30 minutes chasing games, worth it.

Just feels a bit like we're in a football manager regen stage.

Surely we can’t be too picky?
Would any trust to leave it to Patrici?
I’d send back kus as we didn’t need him and get bale in on pay per game deal. We could just stick him up top in games and cross the ball for him as his a great header of the ball.

No problem, Conte probably won’t be here in September...
Sad Baby GIF
