Transfers Have We Signed Gareth Bale Yet?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Bale is looking for a club that he will enjoy and to get fit for the World Cup - can’t imagine he would be demanding too high wages.

As a homegrown squad option/3rd striker, it’s a no brainer. High reward low risk

Being Welsh, it's worth noting that he's not considered HG in Europe.

If it's pay as you play deal can't be bad, even if it's a bit part role.
Offer more than anyone else in attack other than Kane or Son.

Bale would be a lazy signing, I expect a DOF to come up with better signings that will last us more than a season or two.

Not saying Bale is on my want-list, but that profile fits with the notion that Conte is a 'now' project rather than us building a squad for the future.... Which is why the mooted youth & old policy makes sense(*)..... Let's be honest too; we're not in the business - nor the running - to compete with the oil top clubs for players in their 27-ish peak.

(*It's not exactly a big departure from our current policy either.)

No idea if there is any truth in the rumour but...

If Bale is available, if signing him was not excessive in terms of cost and if he was not given daft playing assurances, it would be fine..

Bottom line is that he is still quality, and whilst his attitude is often in question, what isn't is the bloke's ability, even if it is no longer at the height of yesteryear.

Put this way, many wanted to hold onto Alli, in the hope of a return to glory days. Last year Bale scored how many for us?

So if it's possible fine with me, as long as it is not instead of priority needs.

Gil? Apparent interest in Vidal. 2 juve bench warmers. Royal ? Could go on? Lazy? Only thing lazy is the DOF who seems to think there are footballers only in one country and who arnt even pulling up any trees there!

God bless the people that dance. I really admire them!

I thought this was you and your mates?

I don’t see it as a risk if he is on a pay as you play deal. When he came last time we never really saw what he could do because he never got a run of games.

He is worth it just for his corners and free kicks as we have absolutely nobody that can take either and haven’t had in ages. Absolute joke that a club of our size, doesn’t have a decent corner and free kick taker

Son & Reg put in decent corners......

Having Bale on corners when he's strong with his head would be silly.

We can't compete for players at their peak but buying Bale would just be kicking the can down the road because he'll have to be replaced in a season or two. Conte's contract finishes next year, I know there is an option to extend but while he is here we should use his name to draw the best players we can.
