I'd add to that if he does decide to retire he deserves to do so infront of a full WHL

Bale is looking for a club that he will enjoy and to get fit for the World Cup - can’t imagine he would be demanding too high wages.
As a homegrown squad option/3rd striker, it’s a no brainer. High reward low risk
He is actually, cos he spent his youth in England.Being Welsh, it's worth noting that he's not considered HG in Europe.
There’s a ” fairway” to go before the deals done
Bale would be a lazy signing, I expect a DOF to come up with better signings that will last us more than a season or two.
I agree 100% but I suspect this may be a controversial opinion around here.Bale is looking for a club that he will enjoy and to get fit for the World Cup - can’t imagine he would be demanding too high wages.

Gil? Apparent interest in Vidal. 2 juve bench warmers. Royal ? Could go on? Lazy? Only thing lazy is the DOF who seems to think there are footballers only in one country and who arnt even pulling up any trees there!Bale would be a lazy signing, I expect a DOF to come up with better signings that will last us more than a season or two.
I remember that night. Thanks man!
I don’t see it as a risk if he is on a pay as you play deal. When he came last time we never really saw what he could do because he never got a run of games.
He is worth it just for his corners and free kicks as we have absolutely nobody that can take either and haven’t had in ages. Absolute joke that a club of our size, doesn’t have a decent corner and free kick taker
We can't compete for players at their peak but buying Bale would just be kicking the can down the road because he'll have to be replaced in a season or two. Conte's contract finishes next year, I know there is an option to extend but while he is here we should use his name to draw the best players we can.Not saying Bale is on my want-list, but that profile fits with the notion that Conte is a 'now' project rather than us building a squad for the future.... Which is why the mooted youth & old policy makes sense(*)..... Let's be honest too; we're not in the business - nor the running - to compete with the oil top clubs for players in their 27-ish peak.
(*It's not exactly a big departure from our current policy either.)
