That assist today looked simple but not many can do it. Especially not in our team. If that was Kulu with the ball, he would've tried to dribble 3 players before playing a curled pass around the defender with the outside of his boot. It would've been too slow. We need Son to be our distributor if the alternative is Deki. We need direct play and not all that wiggling bullshit.
 
I thought he was a man down yesterday. His pass for Sarr is class but we need players that can offer us more for larger periods of the game. We won’t improve if we don’t. We had the same issues last summer and nothing has changed. In fact we have regressed in that department because we are still accepting Sonny/Johnson/Werner/Deki as wide players. Add in Mikey who will be a brilliant player for us but you can see at this moment starting games in the premier league looks a big ask just now and Odobert who’s been very unlucky with injury.

I blame both the manager and the club for not fixing this last summer.

So maybe eventually this season Odobert plays on the right, and Tel left rotating with Moore.

The clever thing to do in my humble opinion.would be to bring on Johnson and Son if we're winning and under pressure, so looking to counter attack, or to just change things if it's not working.

We quite often get pinned back if we're winning, those are good times to counter attack with pace.
 
Making Son captain has to be one of the single biggest mistakes of Ange's career. Son hasn't dealt with it well or stepped up to being a captain. Needs to be given to someone that deserves it now.

the bit earlier where spence is in the trenches with about 2-3 liverpool players and somehow does enough to give son something to fight for, only to watch son give up because he didnt want to be in a dual makes me fucking sick. absolute coward. needs to fuck off in the summer, enough is enough. no fucking wonder hes a serial loser! take that other loser davies with ya.
