Davis at LB or LWB is a disaster. That's why he ended up on the scrapheap. He's not brilliant at LCB, but he's miles better there than wider.
He was never on the scrap-heap.

Much better memory than me clearly
If Richarlison and Kulu were fit I'd be quite happy that Son was out for a few weeks.
He's been basically a burden rather than an asset lately. Hopefully a few weeks off, get some games at the World Cup, go out with some pride, come back and recuperate and be back to his best on Boxing Day.
I think he'd be OK in a rigid back 5 that just has to defend. Also allows perisic to be up the pitch and his crossing and decision making is something we are really going to need and could be the difference.
I think Ben is much better in a consistent system with significant play time. He came in one season when Danny rose (i think) was injured and I remember thinking oh dear. But he played well and improved as he played moreBen CAN play LB....... He just hasn't got the razzle-dazzle that some associate with wing-backs.
Sess has done well against Salah in the past.I was thinking this but the only way I could personally put him in is put Davies in lwb as I think salah will destroy sess leaving the lcb position open which then means sanchez comes in as he's the only other fit cb we have. I think ultimately he's probably going to stick with perisic and emerson and go lucas kane up top.
It’ll be a rest on his legs but definitely not his psych. He's just had his face smashed in...... It's not a casual couple of weeks at a spa FFS.
The (bafflingly common) thinking that an injury is some form of 'rest' is ludicrous.
you're going to get legit horror accidents. but you're telling me that you think its not a problem to be going into challenges scared and half hearted? you think thats not dangerous? the fact hes been dodging headers and 50-50s for a while then ends up hurt when hes forced into one says it all.
Eriksen did the same thing and never got hurt like this.you're going to get legit horror accidents. but you're telling me that you think its not a problem to be going into challenges scared and half hearted? you think thats not dangerous? the fact hes been dodging headers and 50-50s for a while then ends up hurt when hes forced into one says it all.
eriksen has a superior football I.Q. he wouldn't go up for a header that way. jump up limp with feet coming apart like a starfish and then close his eyes and put his face down. its about as dangerous as it gets, and hes done that because hes terrified of being in a collision and heading a ball.Eriksen did the same thing and never got hurt like this.
I agree that having a habit of going in soft can mean you forget how to protect yourself in heavy challenges. It’s no guarantee you’ll get hurt though. The orbital fracture is not common and a bit of a freak accident.
"obviously gutted for him" sure you are .. what a cuntMissing the WC is a blessing for us, even if he plays 1/2 matches in the tourney it's still great for us, obviously gutted for him.
Wank? That's bollocks mate he will be with us for life...play till 36...then Asian ambassador...then manager!!
He's probably never had a drink or all the other stuff we do?
