He has always been quite an emotional character but maybe it’s a bit deeper than just this particular game of football though. Perhaps this World Cup has underlined to Son himself that his body is no longer capable of doing what his mind wants it to which must be confusing and upsetting.

Hope you’re right for the club’s sake as we all know they’re likely to be the last ones to notice/accept any decline. But as streaky as Son has been in the past it’s never been for this long. He’s had about two good performances since last season, I’d be stunned if he turned it around in the 2nd half of the season.
Maybe the dip in form is in correlation with probably his last World Cup.

The drop off in his general play over the last 2 seasons is quite staggering. Even his golden Boot season the goals and assists aside his in game play was absolutely atrocious. Something is not right with him at the moment. Even when he was streaky he had a lot more to his game than what we've seen over the last 2 seasons.

he didnt have much more, always been a poor player in the build up and actually tickin the ball over. the thing hes lost is his ability to actually run with the ball past a defender. i wouldnt say hes lost anything more than that. thats pretty much all his game was. running with or without the ball, now he cant do that no where near as effective his goals have dried up because he cant get into them spots.
I’ve said it so many times before but this dude is just mentally weak. He couldn’t handle the pressure and attention since the pre-season. There is nothing wrong with his physicality aside from the mask being a bother. He needs to accept that he will always be man marked and start depending more on his teammates

Honestly, this seems to be a common theme in the Spurs dressing room. Son for sure more than others. Mourinho was spot on about our club. The good thing is, we've brought in absolute killers in Kulu and Bentancur who seem unfazed by anything.
Probably make the next if he wants. He is either shattered from the short pre season or needs to adjust his game, I'm hoping the first. If the second he still has talent (Leicester game) but will have to work out a new way of playing and probably lower level.
