I personally would side with Son every day of the week over Conte. I don't know why a purple patch this season give fans like you the right to take a pop at Son.

Yeah I thought the same as soon as I saw the obligatory Sonny crying pic the other day.
In a close game that you've been beaten in by a gnats dick, or if as the star of the team you have played an absolute blinder and left it all on the pitch but it still wasn't enough...
But it's every fucking time, this tournament he has been below par pretty much every game, disappointment I would expect, not fucking tears, for me the two most likely reasons for that are either he's seriously emotionally weak, or it's for the cameras...

Didn’t see either but probably not. I’ve no doubt some will shed a tear or two, particularly those that have probably played their last World Cup game.
The point is that nobody seemed to mind his emotion when he was banging in winners.
Well no, I'm not surprised there would be a direct correlation there, my main gripe is the tears when they come immediately after a limp performance, I would rather have seen that emotion put to good use during the game.
If I thought someone had played their heart out then I wouldn't begrudge them shedding a tear or two, but I didn't think at any point he did that this WC, likewise during any of our big games over recent years, I have found Son more likely to have gone missing than anything else.
He's hardly alone in that respect for Spurs it must be said, but nobody else has the reputation for breaking into tears.
I'm not hating him for it either, it just irritates me, I still really hope he comes back and hits form for us again.

OK, but I'm not saying he's useless, think back to the games where you've seen him reduced to tears, how many of those games have you thought that Son didn't deserve to be on the losing side due to his performance?
The main point I'm trying to get at is that I can understand crying in defeat after you've put in a superhuman effort but still the team has come up short, too often with Son I see him bawling his eyes out after an anonymous shift. To me in those situations he should be full of anger, not weeping...

There’s like 5 Son haters but they’re very persistent. Boring the fuck out of everyone.
It feels pretty common but I'm not keeping a tally tbf.
You have to admit, it's usually reserved for situations where a player has been outstanding individually and deserved to be on the winning side, or a team has lost after coming heart breakingly close, like on penalties or last kick of the game.
Getting spanked 4-1 by an all round superior team isn't the usual circumstance for it, nor can I think of anyone else who has a reputation, deserved or otherwise, for crying a lot.
I think that there is something to it, even if it's not every other weekend.
