Son needs a break from playing for a week or two, totally run into the ground the last 2.5 months. If I was Ange I'd send him on holiday for two weeks and make him get some R+R. With Tel, Odobert, Johnson, Kulusevski, Moore and Werner all fit again he really should not be getting pitch time until he has recuperated.
I guess he feels the people of North Korea have suffered enough.

We never really know if a player is carrying a niggle of some kind but the drop off this season has been unbelievable. There have been moments over the last two seasons where the decline was starting to show but this season it is dramatic.
We all agree Son has been magnificent for our club.... but, and I have been saying this for at least 2 years.... we should have broke the bank for Mitoma ... he is the perfect replacment for Son.... keep Son if he wants but use him for the last 15mins....
Yeah I hate to say it as I’ve defended him regularly throughout the years but I think his time might be done I’m afraid.
odobert done more in 5 seconds than son did all game, it should be his final year.
That 2nd half was made for Son , loads of space on the counter, only the full back to beat but he just doesn’t want to , prefers to turn back or make the easy pass . It’s sad to see his decline , he also looks so miserable all the time . Maybe the captains armband is weighing him down but like many have said , send him on holiday for 2 weeks and come back for one final push and sell in the summer whilst he still holds some value .

He’s closer to 33 than 32. It’s a completely normal drop off for a pace dependent player at that age.
I think we have to realize his playing days at this level are numbered.
