I get some of your points, just felt attacked by your original post. Feeling very sensitive at the moment, and doesn't take much to get my back up.For a few reasons including not protesting enough against the owners as it's been clear for years that we were on the decline, then there are those that barely sing and get behind the team and often have a go at fellow fans for standing up a second longer than they seem 'necessary'.
This isn't ALL on the fans that's for sure but we're not completely 100% blameless. The bulk of the blame sits with the board and their choices and on the managers and players.
I had a season ticket up until a few years ago but stated to lose faith with Levy and ENIC even then, we've been taken for a ride for years and viewed as paying customers, walking ATMs that will continue to spend irrespective of how the team are doing. They've taken that loyalty for granted, still do.
When we went down last time we had some poor players but we still liked them. Nutter Naylor for one .You what???? How is this on the supporters, especially those who go to games?
I hate modern, PL football with a passion, but will support this Club (not the people who run it) if we were in the Fourth Division, heck I might even enjoy it more.

Saw some great games in the second div. I always record the Big Match Revisited programme on itv4 and then just watch the Spurs ones. Games from 70s and 80s. Was watching one day and thought….this is so more enjoyable than the prem lge, even though we were getting battered at times. The coaches have taken over and control everything . Set piece coaches getting plaudits for scoring from a corner. Very few maverick players .
Romero will be in Argentina on Sunday, watching his club FC Belgrano in the championship final .
My hero Steve would flatten him, given half a chance.
Stick Stevie in the team on Sunday and no problem, who can be that man. ??
Every word of your post is true. Back then, the players and coach (The General) were made of sterner stuff, as they stayed and battled for our return the following season. The senior players now all seem to show no affinity, even disdain towards our Club, it's a disgrace. When we went down last time we had some poor players but we still liked them. I've said it many a time, I hate modern football and only put up with the nonsense of supporting a PL club because I love Tottenham Hotspur. In a way, I'd rather we go completely under, as I would happily walk away from football altogether.
Yes, it's completely different, we didn't have blanket coverage and a media willing to see us down, It's always been about money, but now we are talking billions of pounds, and clubs can't afford to drop down a division, which makes the football boring to watch, as teams are risk adverse. But the whole game ( inside and out ) is just so completely different to what it was in ‘ 77 , to put it mildly. Much like so very many other things .
Going down now will ( if it happens, which God forbid it doesn’t ) won’t be anything like that .
We’ve got to live in the now ; and it simply ain’t 1977 anymore, for better and (possibly) for worse.
Good move!
Morning run with the Danube...

auto correct? No problem at all, it wasn't aimed at all Spuds fans for sure especially those that have really got behind the team the last few home games only to end up disappointed.
You live in beautiful British Columbia and have been waking up this early to watch this shit all season?Going camping, and will have to watch the game at the camping gate entrance, praying that I get signal for an 8am kickoff.
Unfortunately, yes, and 8am is one of the later ones. The 12:30pm Saturday kick offs are very enjoyable, 4:30am my time. Only to watch us stink the place outYou live in beautiful British Columbia and have been waking up this early to watch this shit all season?
