Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The plan is obviously poch in summer if we were only in the market for interim managers
Still don't think Poch is a good choice...you can't revisit the past...he wasn't backed before and he gave up more or less...he won't be backed if he comes back...he was very lucky he had the players in that team...now we've got mostly mediocre players...plus he had Sonny and Harry....

It's time to get behind him. People would have moaned no matter what.

There were people in the fanbase advocating for Sherwood, Redknapp or Keane but now turning their nose up at Tudor. I mean, it's ridiculous.

One thing all this does show, is that Lange has been totally sidelined. As Paratici was recommending Frank was sacked and we install Tudor in as an interim before Xmas. Lange won that tug of war, Vinai listened, they doubled down on Frank, Paratici subsequently walked, and now look at what has happened.

I'd bet my house on Lange being sacked by June, we will have a new DOF in place, one that Poch approves of also no doubt.

And I also think Vinai's days are numbered. The board will view this flirt with relegation if we actually survive, as gross negligence on the CEOs part.
Yup, things are looking more positive, if indeed Poch was the one targeted all along.

How do you know he won't he backed?

Levy isn't here anymore.

The top has changed, and no point backing Frank in Jan, if he was gone by the summer.

We'll just have to wait and see what unfolds.

Yeah.
I never got the desire of some to bring an ex Spurs man in to try dig us out of the hole.
For me, that was the last thing we needed.
We need somebody with no previous connection to the club to come in and kick the shit out of the loser mentality that's been permeating from top to bottom.

Hes not renowned for playing shite football though. Certainly not Frank-ball level bollocks.

Think hes an automations guy. Usually that style is decent to watch at first before the opposition teams figure you out and the players get bored.

Perfect in other words.

Posters/fans are going overboard as ever, as though any announcement was going to guarantee success.

Many want Pochettino to return, so how would that have worked if we went for someone else? Thanks, but no thanks.

All this new manager needs to do is be above the drop zone at the end of the season, and the next 5 games, given some of the matches
those near the bottom have got, should provide us with a measure of confidence.

I'm no fan of this CEO or Lange, but this has been completed quickly. Just a shame it's 7 weeks late.

Just get behind the bloke and the team for the next 13 games.

I'm not sure why people are hating on this, even if he flops with a 33% win percentage should be enough to keep us up! Actually happy we have gone for a interim and not rushed a 3 year appointment

Wouldn't even be surprised if Paratici helped facilitate the deal as a favour tbh. He's got everyone in Italy on speed-dial.

Lets be honest if Forest had announced Tudor yesterday or West Ham if they'd sacked Nuno a few weeks back we'd hardly be shitting ourselves. I just think the same coaching staff, a transient figurehead and 11 fit players is not going to end well. We needed a lift, get the fans back onside and dont think we've done that.
I wonder if this quick move was to thwart Forest getting Tudor?

He's magic, Tudooor....... Igor Igor Igor Tudoooor :pochohshit:

Depends on what people expect, I think.

If you're looking for Spurs to be back in the top 4 and CL every season, then yeah I agree.

If you're looking for us to compete in the top 6-8, I think Poch can achieve that.

Longer term, who knows what will happen. But we're not going to suddenly be a top team no matter who comes in.
