Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Haven't seen that, but, we're more desperate now than we were then - could be we're willing to give I to whatever his demands are more now than before

As above, could be we weren't willing to give him just what he wants

Chances are more likely now we are

Including relegation get out etc

VV supported (though didn’t initiate) the hiring of TF.
VV (along with JL) supported TF to the hilt long after the board said they believed it was time to make a change.
VV approached RDZ (an idea he ‘borrowed’ from FP) to replace TF but couldn’t get a deal done.
VV hired IT, despite being advised that his style of play wasn’t compatible with the club ethos.
VV oversaw the creation of joint sporting directors, despite being warned it would be a combustible situation.
VV is reluctantly looking at replacements for IT.

Not an auspicious track record so far.

Surely, at some point, he’s going to show some good instincts and make a wise decision?

For me the situation as it is now we need a Tottenham man in who actually would give there last breath to keep us up and not someone looking to make a nice sum of money that would be offered
I know what you mean, but who even is this though?

Redknapp is 80 and I wouldn't bet he'd choose us over West Ham staying up anyway.

Tim Sherwood is a TV pundit witn the IQ of Paul Merson.

Ryan Mason is a glorified PE teacher that will hold no sway with these players.

Hoddle is certainly not an option due to age and health.

A serious pro that wants to take on the challenge is the only option here. A Conte type that happens to be available. (I bet that's how Paratici sold Tudor to the idiots in charge).

Pochettino is the one but we know he's probably not available yet.

I can think of one decision I’d like him to make

Sorry, but personal tragedy should have no impact on club decision here.

On personal level - I feel for his loss of course.

On business level - at least in my country - when your parent die you get 2 days off and then you are expected to be back to work and do business as usual. Dont know why different rules should apply to multimillionere on short term contract. Plus if they decide to sack him he will get remaining money anyway.

So it should be only whether Vinai fraud want to stick with him or not. Everything else should not matter.
what i meant was i can't see our weak, feckless, overly concerned with everything but football board and leadership sacking him after this.

My personal take is, if we're rolling the dice again, it has to be the next "permanent manager"

Not a "hold me over until Poch"

We say to Poch "this is defcon 1, either you walk now, or we have to move on"

We may well have to pay someone out of a contract. Poch or A.N.Other.
Said this after we sacked Frank. No waiting until someone else tries to save us. No waiting to see where we end up. You come now or not at all. People should be crawling over broken glass to manage us. Not saying they don’t quite fancy it now, but give me a shout in a few months. Fuck that.

I don't think there's a coach out there that can come in on a 7 game contract and save this situation.
The only coaches good enough will demand at least next season as well.
And they may also be entitled to a walk-out clause if they can't save us.

Why would that be an issue?

Put them on an 18month deal and sack them if we're similarly not happy to keep them.

....Financially it's small beans compared to relegation.

.....Bigger question is still who?

100%, but it must happen in the next 3 or 4 days.

Whoever it might be needs to obviously be considered to be good enough, but would probably need to come with 2 sets of promises.

1. To give significant funds to get us back up if we got relegated.

2. Significant funding if we stay up and willingness to sell/move on those players who are not wanted.

There's probably a 3rd but it's Monday.

Regardless of our Club’s current situation; there are ( many ) things far more important in life .

I’m guessing Ivor’s got more serious things to think about right now ; and it would be completely understandable if he chose to depart ( and be replaced ) on compassionate grounds, irrespective of other considerations.

Leave it to ENIC and their stooges to (yet again) make the wrong decision and go get another "Igor" to drag this inevitable fate more.

I know he is 80, it is only 2 months. GO GET HARRY with TIM and DEFOE. Don't act smart, the whole world now knows you are incompetent buffoons. Who are these weird names we keep getting linked with???? No more Tudors please.

That's one side of the argument. The other is that it gives the players a reason to buck up. They can't just laugh it off as he'll be gone after 7 games.
And per the original point. it simply opens doors to better quality managers than caretakers.
The idea of Dyche or Allardyce has actual fucking vomit in my mouth.

Except in Pochettino’s case it’s hardly “don’t fancy it now” and more “World Cup in the summer”. It’s totally unrealistic to expect him to throw away all his work there and be extremely bad faith by walking away from the job before the tournament.

Pochettino probably wants the job a lot, but isn’t willing to throw away his professional reputation and fuck over the team he’s been coaching just to take it now. Which is fair enough..
