3 at the back would not be the worst with our squad. We are definitely not suited for 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 because our wingers are so lacking. Been thinking 5-3-2 or 4-4-2 would be worth a shot, though we lack the central midfield quality for 4-4-2.

Unfortunately, with all the injuries, we don't have a lot of flexibility at the moment.
Yeah back 3 concerns me a bit. Romero out suspended for another month and Danso out for a long while I imagine. We'll basically have to go VDV, Radu, Palhinha full 90s every game until Romero comes in. Udogie also out which limits rotating wing-backs, hopefully Porro not out for too much longer.
Can you imagine a VDV injury now and having to play relegation pressure games with a back 3 of Gray, Palhinha and a Dragusin that's just back from an ACL :mourcheeks:

Moronic decision. You can tell none of them have a clue. They just asked paratici who he knew and went with the first name he suggested.

We have two fit centre backs but are appointing a 3 at the back coach.

AI summary of "who the fuck is Tudor"

According to the latest reports (February 2026), Tottenham have indeed reached a verbal agreement with Croatian coach Igor Tudor. He is expected to take over as interim manager until June after the club decided to part ways with Thomas Frank.

Here is a breakdown of who he is, his credentials, and his football philosophy:

**Who is Igor Tudor?**

Igor Tudor (born 1978) is a former Croatian international defender best known for his time as a player at Juventus (1998–2007). As a manager, he has established himself as an intense and at times controversial figure who rarely stays long at his clubs, but who often delivers an immediate impact on results.

**Managerial Career Highlights**

Tudor has an extensive but somewhat nomadic career behind him, having managed clubs in Croatia, Greece, Turkey, France, and Italy.

- **Most recent role:** He left Juventus as recently as October 2025 after a brief spell of 24 matches.
- **Notable achievements:**
- Won the Croatian Cup with Hajduk Split (2012/13).
- Led Marseille to a third-place finish in Ligue 1 (2022/23).
- Had a major breakthrough at Hellas Verona (2021/22), where the team scored freely and finished in the top half of the table.
- Has a reputation as a "firefighter" who has successfully kept clubs like Udinese in Serie A during difficult periods.

**What style of football does he play?**

Tudor's football is often described as "structured chaos" with extremely high intensity.

- **Tactical setup:** His preferred formation is 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-3, favouring three centre-backs and attacking wing-backs.
- **Aggressive pressing:** He frequently employs a strict man-to-man defensive system across the entire pitch, similar to the style associated with managers like Gian Piero Gasperini or Ivan Jurić.
- **Verticality:** Rather than slow, possession-based football, Tudor wants his teams to transition at lightning speed, with the focus on winning the ball high up the pitch and moving directly towards goal.
- **Management style:** He is known for setting extremely high demands on his players, both physically and mentally. This has sometimes led to friction within the squad, but has also resulted in underperforming teams quickly receiving an injection of energy and a winning mentality.

Igor Tudor is often described as a manager who "gets 120%" out of his players in a short space of time, which aligns well with Tottenham's need for a rapid turnaround as they currently sit in 16th place in the Premier League.
Playstation a 3-4-3 with attacking wing backs...

So manager that will play Porro where he should be played, and Udogie/Souza I am assuming cand do that role.

Sounds like an attacking manager to me.

Think it's kinda funny that most people on here wanted a tough, experienced manager that plays attractive football, is renowned for giving squads a kick up the arse and has a rep for specialising in short term gigs.

But cos hes not well known in England its a complete joke of an appointment?

Dont love Tudor but he's a better interim option than about 80-90% of the names ive seen suggested on here. And most of the better ones probably wouldn't come as interims anyway.

This is a very odd choice.

He hasn't won a game in his last 8 games, and on top of that, he lost his last three games in a row....

No premier league experience whatsoever and is straight into a relegation battle with a team with terrible form and confidence......

There's every reason to think this will go well.

Let's gooooo!

Out of his depth cunt.

Let's just get that out the way early :franklol:

Good luck to him, just hope the football is actually attacking and not that awful Frank shite where everyone was standing still

No idea how to feel about this. I know very little about him, but it feels risky.

Interim wise he did well at Juve and Lazio. 1.91PPG, which would get us 22 points with 12 games left. He needs to win 4-5 games to get us safe. Palace, Brighton, Everton, Forest and Leeds at home and Wolves away, have to be aiming for them to get points.

Survival is paramount. Then get Poch back in the summer.

If this is just to keep the seat warm for Poch, we need to have those papers signed by him as soon as the season ends.

If he’s not willing to commit until after the WC, we cannot be waiting around for him. Even if you think USA don’t make it past group stage (they will), that’s still almost the beginning of July minimum before he could take the reigns. A R32 berth would keep Poch through all of June into July. I doubt we could go any further than R16 but that’s almost mid July before he would be freed up.

There’s no point slagging the bloke off at this point. It’s done now, it ain’t permanent. Fuck the regime, get behind him and the team. If he comes in and wins 5 out of 12, he’s done his job. We can figure out what we do next after that.

Got the perfect game to start to get everyone on side if he gets the win.
If he flukes a win against Woolwich then that will set him up nicely for the last 11 games.

If he loses heavy, and then we go down to Fulham....we've then got Palace and Liverpool to deal with...

It will either be a masterstroke or we'll get relegated simple as that.
