What is bad is this wkend is fa cup and again we have no involvement same as so many years recently. We have a lat 16 tie in CL with AM which in most seasons we would all be looking forward to with great anticipation. This time it’s like why are we bothered. No real interest. Very sad state of affairs.

In Summer 2024 Spurs had just finished 5th in their first season without Harry Kane (having finished 8th the season before). That was incredible progress and I don't think there would have been much support for sacking him at that point.
It was clear that the squad needed better players, and like you said....they signed a bunch of kids and though Timo Werner was adequate cover for an ageing Son.
In Summer 2024 we knew Vicario couldn't command his box. We knew Son was entering his last season. We knew Udogie and Porro didn't have decent backups. We knew Bissouma couldn't be relied upon. We knew VDVs body was not yet conditioned for a full schedule.
