Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I won't melt over Tudor not being sacked this morning. It's a completely reasonable option to let him take the arrows at Liverpool and sack him immediately after. If we get nothing from the scouse and he's in charge for Forest, yes. There should be an uprising.
The counterargument is that literally every PL game is a cup final at this point, and nicking a point at Anfield could be the difference between life and death.

If you believe the next manager (who I feel certain is going to be Ryan Mason) is going to immediately stabilize the situation, then that's a button you press absolutely as soon as possible.

Every club decision in 2026 that has looked an inch beyond kickoff of the next game has been a disaster thusfar.

Agree in many respects.

Another man coming in and being mauled at Anfield helps nobody.

It's the danger of assumptions and competence in this board that is impossible to hold, so whilst there might be logic in allowing Tudor to continue for now, don't then be surprised if he remains for Forest....

The Firest game needs a new man one feels.
For box office purposes only, we know who it has to be…

:ange-blow:

(Spoiler - better not be!)

In short term of course it has minimal impact. no manager can turn a team around that quick and instill new ways of playing. Derp
Hoddle (heard of him?) got the Champo teams selection playing passing footie on the ground after one training session, v Italy Serie B I think. Peter Taylor (heard of him?) got the cloggers of fucking GILLINGHAM playing footie on the deck from the off.

Just having a defence FFS would be better than this idiot.

Why would these players care about Mason? Yes, he gets the club - but he’ll be the only person in the room who does!

This lot think they’re prime Brazil so will only listen to Pep or Klopp or Zidane.

Well, we can't get Pep or Klopp or Zidane.

Mason knows the players, their personalities, their strengths and weaknesses, the way they can fit together tactically. There's no learning curve, which even Pep or Klopp or Zidane would need, and which we can't afford. Almost all of our players have been much better versions of themselves under Mason's tutelage in the recent past. They know he knows they have more than what they are showing.

Plus he's Tottenham to his bones, which will calm the home crowd situation as much as it can be, and he's a ruddy-cheeked local English lad which will calm the media situation (which the players are hearing every day, believe me) as much as it can be. They'd rather 'Arry or Sherwood of course, but those are non-viable ideas. Maybe as some sort of assistant but that might be too clever by half.

The situation needs calm, simplicity and clarity. It's simply too late to bring in an outsider. We had options three weeks ago that we don't have anymore. And the Big Sam Brexit Ball relegation rescue operation cliche is a long outmoded superstition, that would be a huge mistake.

How is he still here. This is real bad. He’s making bad decision after bad decision. The players obviously dislike him. Such a bad appointment
That's how these absolute clowns operate and one of the reasons we are in this big mess. Frank was completely done and void of ideas in October/November, but they waited until February to make 'a change'.

Always too late, always the wrong decision, thinking and behaving like a small club.

No to mason. He’s left West Brom fighting relegation and was crap last time he was in charge for us. We’ll go down if we get him in. Fair enough, we’re probably going down whoever comes in but Redknapp would at least get the players fighting a bit. Vinai “he’s too old I’ll go for mason who’s weak like me.”

I don't suppose it really matters who goes and comes...these players will make any manager look crap...sad but true...

That's what pisses me off.

No one noticed it before the game? Neither the staff or even one of the players?

Or even if they didn't find it until the game started, none of them thought to get the players to change their boots or to fake an injury just to give us some time to change them?
Just a question, but what boots would have been best for last night?
I predominantly wear astro turfs as i play on 3G.
I also have worn astro on normal turf too and no problems unless the turf is drenched through.

Must admit when playing, i wouldnt think twice about the surface, i just stick my boots on and play, so yeah i just want to know what kind of boots would have been suitable rather than moulds.

:ange-hmm:

Still think both. Let Redknapp deal with the media, do the arms around the shoulders schtick and pre match team talk, let Mason just take the training with a couple of others. Not expecting much difference now as its all too late but might give us a punchers chance.

Well here are the odds for next manager on one website :memelol:
