Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Leicester 14/15 finished 14th
Leicester 15/16 finished 1st

Buuuut Leicester 14/15 took 22 points from their last 9 games. 2.44ppg
They actually dropped off a bit in their title winning season overall with 2.1ppg
Prime example of form crossing seasons - AND regardless of manager as they replaced Adkins with Ranieri
there were Leicester fans who saw that form at the end of that season and put bets on at 5,000:1 E/W on the PL.

One of the games they lost was 4-3 at WHL when we got 2 pens and on oggie IIRC

Hoddles last full season we fell off a cliff at the end and he was fired 6 games into the new one.

Redknapp from his first Jan window onwards was top 4 form and next season we got 4th

it really isn't rocket science

I recall clearly saying to many people Leicester were on title winning form in 2014.
I'm gutted I didn't stick a tenner on it.

Why don't bring in Hoddle, Ardiles and Mabbutt too - the more, the merrier?

Absurd how quite a few on here thinks bringing in some earlier Tottenham players, who todays group of players are unknown with, will magically fix things..
They at least love the club, understand the culture and truly know what it means to the fans.

I don't especially rate Mason as a manager, nor King/Defoe or whoever they might bring in as coaches, but at this point we've got fuck all options and I don't know who else we're gonna realistically get.

No good interims are on the market. No good permanent managers will come near us in our current state.

Maybe we can get Dyche but I can see that just being Frank all over again. The players are clearly wank at that defensive midblock style football and he's not the arm around the shoulder type, plus he'd probably want a 2 year deal so we'd end up paying him off a mental amount or stuck with him.

I think Mason, maybe working with 'Arry or something, would at least build up the players and encourage them to express themselves a bit. And apparently his West Brom were actually playing quite well but kept missing sitters and it eventually did for him. Once he left they went into freefall.

Who would you like us to bring in that would realistically come?

Surely at this stage, it's going to take a frank (lower case F) conversation with the players.
What is it going to take to get you to get us out of this?
It's the players that take to the pitch.
You can have your clipboards, your formations, your passages of play etc. But if a bunch of players are so badly demoralized that they hit the grass and look devoid of interest, it doesn't matter.
Just pull each one of them into a room and politely ask them "what is it going to take to get a performance out of you?"
And if the response is nothing, drop them.
There are kids I wouldn't normally advocate for, but they'd at least have a vested interest in getting a game.

Yeah. It would be quite a statement to drop them all in a one-er. And make a public show of it. Not great for their careers.

You're an idiot.

There's no nice way of saying it.
If you can't look at how we progressively got worse and worse and worse under him and see it, plain as day, then you're just really dumb.

Cheerio - ignore list you go.

Matt1882 Matt1882 proving once again he's the biggest moronic sook on this forum by some distance :roflmao:

So mostly all incompressible bollocks in the prezzer then.

We have never seen it this bad, and it all started under Ange. He was the one unique person who oversaw the catalyst for this relegation form. Levy had been chairman for 25 years. We’d never been this bad in all his time.

And he is the one who had to deal with the sale of Kane and the decline of Son whilst replacing them with Solanke and Tel

Ange had to go, the league form was unacceptable, but we as fans have to understand that Kane and Son were world class players who elevated tbis team and club way beyond where it could have been without them. Not just their goals and assists but their presence and influence.

To go from Kane and Son to Solanke and Tel/Odobert is shameful and embarrassing for a club that wants to compete at the top of the table. The drop off is massive and our pathetic signings in other areas of the team have only made things worse.

The recruitment is to blame, not any one manager.

Redknapp again saying he would take the job if offered

Also said he would bring Crouchie, Krancjar and Defoe with him :harrylol:

Bring him back till the end of the season. This place needs a big lift from all the misery surrounding every part of the club

Before Kane and Son came along, the club wasn't finishing 17th. 19 other teams in the league don't have Kane or Son and manage and the majority of them were better than we did under Ange.

It was his appalling tactics which are the main reason we lost under him so often. It's pretty well known that his system was sussed out by October 2023 and that is when the bad form started. I mean, we sat in here dissecting it every week and the biggest contributing factor for Ange failing was his tactics. He refused to adapt. Opposition teams would make one pass and be in on our CBs bearing down on goal.

Anyway I do agree that our recruitment has been poor, and there's no doubt we are a poor side, but we shouldn't be 17th or lower. Both the managers and the recruitment is to blame.

Villa went down after they got rid of Lambert. But he was the one who dragged them down to the bottom end of the table.
Newcastle went down in 2015 after they sacked McLaren. TBH, McLaren off the back of dwindling results under Pardew set that ball in motion.
West Ham went down in 02 after Roeder took a turn and had to be replaced. But it was Roeder who sent them spiraling downwards.
When West Ham went down again in 2011, it was the season after Zola "led" them to 17th but he was gone by then.

People can't seem to see that, much like a manager riding a wave of success like his predecessor (Slott winning the title, AVB taking Redknapps Spurs to 5th) a manager can do so badly that the next season is a continued downward trajectory.
That's us. Ange launched us off a cliff and we have been heading for the rocks below ever since.

Clearly should not be playing 3 at the back this weekend as there are only 2 fit CB's.

If Tudor insists on that formation it will prove how much of an idiot he is.
