Quite sensible...for you!

Would like to see something like this:

Vicario
Grey, Danso, Davies, Spence
Bissouma, Bergvall
Odobert, Madders, Moore
Son

Rest Porro, Kulu and play Son in a fucking position where he can take a shot. But we ain't seeing this, because the dinosaur will have to play Kulu and Porro against Ipswich, you know the plan, we should always use our best players because tactics are shite.
Your tactics aren’t much better. Have you not seen that Son cannot play centre forward. Cannot hold the ball up, poor control, gets knocked about by big centre backs. Should start on the bench.

I'd start Oderbert and bring Son on later when the game is hopefully done and dusted.
He did more in his cameo role than Sonny did all game. He's still a legend to me but time and tide wait for no man.

That's not going to happen and shouldn't. You are right that time and tide wait for no one, but equally Son will have had 6 day's rest.

He will benefit from Maddison's return, and don't put it past him to knock in a couple.

The likes of Odobert and Johnson are ideal to bring on if we are ahead and Ipswich are chasing the game, or as later options if we need to find a goal.

I don't care much for Bissouma, but can see him starting in midfield.

How do you know my tactics? That's just a formation and Son best match the season came in that position as a false 9, dropping out of the box to receive the ball, making one-twos and having space to shot.

By the end of this weekend, it is conceivable that it could simply be 3 from 4 for the relegation slots, with most accepting that Southampton are all but down.

We should beat Ipswich but at the very least we simply must not lose.

By no stretch are any of that bottom 3 clawing 15 points on us. Wolves are the odd one of the quartet but either way I expect a top 8/10 finish from us,carrying on with another win on Saturday.

I think wolves will be the only team of those 4 to get 30 points or over.

Need to at least draw this one so we avoid them doing the double on us this year. We should be able to win this one though.

Spence at RB instead of Porro could be all the difference vs Delap. I'm sure Danso will eager to help contain him though, as opposed to Romero, who didn't seem quite up for it last time out. Not sure if Udogie is ready to start again so soon though, so I somewhat expect we'll see Porro start again at RB with Spence out left, with the off chance that Gray starts at RB or LB too.

Vic
Gray Danso Ben Spence
Sarr Bergvall Maddison
Moore Tel Son

Son/Moore off at 60' for Odobert and Kulu or Johnson as needed.
Gray, Danso and Bergvall to handle Delap.

If Romero and VDV are going to be able to play in the Europa games they need to get some minutes into their legs soon.
20 minute sub appearances, a 45 min start, and 60 min start, and then try a full 90'.

Romero needs to be healthy if we are to sell him in the summer.
VdV needs to be healthy so he can continue to play for us at all.
