Match Ipswich (A) - 22nd February - 3PM KICK OFF, AN ACTUAL 3PM KICK OFF

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

First time at Portman Road for me. Another ground to tick off the list.
Only 3 left in the PL
Last time was back in the 80s, when you just turned up and paid on the door. No chance of that these days. :(
Typical that one of the few 3pm on a Saturday is at an away ground where tickets are rarer than a hen's teeth. Had to go to Liverpool Street this morning where I saw some of our supporters, I was tempted to mugging them for their ticket!

I've met Bobby.

A legend but very boring.
I liked Jack as a manager, this story is on his Wikipedia page.

Charlton was offered the job as manager of Second Division club Middlesbrough on his 38th birthday in 1973. He declined to be interviewed for the position and instead handed the club a list of responsibilities he expected to take, which, if agreed to, would give him total control of the running of the club. He refused a contract and would never sign a contract throughout his managerial career He took a salary of £10,000 a year despite the chairman being willing to pay a lot more; his only stipulations were a gentleman's agreement that he would not be sacked, assurances that he would have no interference from the board in team affairs, and three days off a week for fishing and shooting. He decided first to repaint Ayresome Park and to publicise the upcoming league campaign to generate higher attendance figures.

Didn’t Jack apply for the England manager’s job and the FA didn’t even reply??

You should have just for one politely and fluttered your eyes!!

How could they have refused?

Vicario
Gray (Spence)-Danso-Davies-Spence (Udogie)
Bergvall-Bentancur-Maddison
Johnson-Tel-Odobert
Those in bold are pretty much locks. Porro certainly needs to be dropped, but Ange has some room for manoeuvre with his fullbacks now that Udogie is back and Gray can also be deployed there. Spence is a lock, but the other FB spot is a coin flip between Gray and Udogie for me.

I'm far from the biggest fan of the notion of Bentancur as the single pivot, but I presume Ange likes his ball playing ability enough to have him there despite his low mobility and physicality for a DM. He'll continue sacrificing the latter for the former, I don't see him moving away from that against Ipswich of all teams.

I honestly can't bear with Son the first teamer anymore. Let's roll the dice with Odobert, even if he's not yet ready for a full 90. Kulusevski has been dreadful for quite some time, so Johnson gets the nod even if he's far from great himself most of the time.

Call it gambler's fallacy all you like, but the fact that we somehow kept clean sheets against Brentford and United despite gifting chance after chance makes me think that we're almost destined to concede here. Based on this alone I'm expecting an uphill battle, since we struggle to score 2 or more these days.
Why would we continue to play gray at RB when that is where we want to see Spence. Stupid thinking. If Porro is to be rested although see no reason to now that we have only played 1 game in last 2 weeks.

Looks like on the training video front three options of Son, Tel, Werner in orange or Johnson, Scarlett, Odobert in yellow.

Also in yellow: Kulusevski, Spence, Gray. Also in Orange: Reguilion, Porro, Bergvall, I think I saw Ajayi as well. A few I may have missed didn't see Maddison at all. Always wonder if there are some selection clues in these.

This must be a nighmare for a player with daltonism.
