Some examples as to why I think we're being cheated.

Watch Paquette push VDV into KWP before pulling VDV back.
Result - goal disallowed.

You only need to watch a full 90 minute match to see how bias against us the refereeing is.
Within 5 minutes of the kick off yesterday, the ref gave a free kick against RKM after he was held back by Bassey and then didn't give anything when their RB used both hands to drag Gray down.
Opening 5 minutes.
And it happens all match every match in the PL.

The answer is sadly yes

Premier league is one of the most corrupt leagues in Europe. One day it will come out, VAR has made it easier to fix things to their liking

For us we just have score clean so they can't be any "interpretation of the rule"

The refereeing discussion is annoying because it doesn't change the fact that our performances have been abysmal. If that goal hadn't stood yesterday I could still see Fulham going into the break 2-0 up, if our goal against Woolwich brought it back to 2-2 I could still see them winning that game.

Within the club it's another distraction from the fact that we've been piss poor and deservedly have only picked up 4 points in 10 games. It's another "the fans are making the atmosphere bad and that's why we're losing" kind of excuse. It forgives the absolutely shameless performances all season.

I don't believe its on purpose or deliberate match fixing. But there is very obviously a massive bias going against us.

We know the media and pundits are against us but this year it feels like this has massively crept into the PGMOL. I can't compare to all other 19 teams in the league but its a fact that we are being refereed totally different to Woolwich. Its gone beyond embarrassing and at the stage where you could easily convince yourself that its being done deliberately. I'm not there yet, I just think its a mixture of bias and momentum.

Romero gets booked for things Gabriel doesn't get booked for. Raya gets frees for things Vicario doesn't. We get red cards alot for stuff other teams don't. We get goals given against us that get disallowed when we score the same goals. We don't get any penalties even though we have conceded plenty of soft penatlies (Bentancur away to Newcastle being the most extreme example).

I don't think its deliberate or match fixing. I think its just momentum and bias. Its easy to give the decision against spurs every time atm. Everyone is enjoying the mess we are in and its easy to give decisions against us that keep playing into that narrative. Referees act on instinct. Gabriel goes down and Peter Banks immediately whistles for a free out, we all know if that is the other way around then the goal gets given. Peter Banks won't admit that but I guarantee you his instinct and momentum is to allow the goal if its Woolwich scoring against spurs. Its just the easy thing to do right now. Declan Rice is wresting a player yesterday and because of that his arm is in an unnatural position when he handballs it - 2 reasons to give a penalty.

Does a referee want to punish declan rice? He's prefer not to. If its a not 100% conclusive then they'll let Rice away with it. Its the easy thing to do. If that is Romero, Bentancur or any other spurs player? Its given as a penalty every single time. He might even give Romero two yellow cards for both offenses because it suits the narrative! The PGMOL are totally biased and once you have a reputation against you then you are fucked and right now we are fucked. Its easy to give every 50/50 decisions against us and thats what has been happening all season.

I guarantee you if we play chelsea yesterday and but in the same performance Woolwich put in. We'd have conceded 2 penalties, have had atleast one of the goals disallowed and no chance they send a player off for 2 quick bookings against us. And you guessed it - we lose to chelsea at home. Suits the narrative. Match fixing? I don't think so. But referees allowing biases to effect them? Yes.

Silly to think football isn't fixed.

Only a child would think otherwise in 2026.

Believing football is honest is like still believing in Santa.

Gambling on football has taken the game the way of horse racing and boxing.

It's bent.

Deep down most of us have known it for years.

" United Kingdom
Football mag Four Four Two spoke to 123 pro players from Britain’s five major leagues. All spoke anonymously, and made some startling revelations. According to the survey, one in three professional footballers say match fixing is rife. 14% admit they still gamble on the game. One said: “I know players who routinely bet on their own side.” But 32% agreed that rigging, especially spot-fixing, still goes on. A Scottish star said: “It’s too easy now to bet on the number of throw-ins or corners.” A Championship player added: “My friend got done for it at non-league level. No doubt it’s going on.”
Players are banned by the FA from betting, directly or indirectly, on any football match, anywhere in the world."

Of course not. Any objective observer can see there's no bias.

Only joking - Them cunts are bent as fuck - and then a bit more.

Can someone explain to me rationally why the premier league would want a top 6 club, who are part of the clubs who earn them the most money, to go down?

It doesn’t serve any interest for us to be relegated. If you’re going to come up with a conspiracy theory there first has to be a plausible reason for a grand conspiracy against Spurs. In which all officials co-ordinate to relegate us. Which would require unreal levels of keeping people silent at the risk of the total collapse of the leagues establishment.

So no, it isn’t. People can argue subconscious bias or bad luck but anyone thinking it’s a co-ordinated plan against Tottenham is thinking totally irrationally. It makes no sense to do it nor would it really work.

They don’t want us down. They want us in the relegation battle to sell the controversy.

The premier league product is built on controversy

Ive wondered the same, we’re somehow champions of Europe, but relegation fodder domestically. Makes perfect sense.

We’re not champions of Europe FFS. Anymore than West Ham were “champions of Europe”. Rangers got to a EL final not long ago!

Forest have a decent shot at the EL this season whilst battling relegation. Because the EL compared to the prem is weak as hell unless you get one of 3-4 teams.

But how can we perform?
I dare you to go and watch that Liverpool game again.
Watch the sheer number of times during that match that we won the ball back fairly and conceded a free kick.
We're not allowed to win.
We're not allowed to be remotely competetive.
We're not even allowed to to expect decisions be handed out equally.

Whilst I agree it should have been avoided, the sole reason Romero got a red (our 2nd) in that game was because he could see it. He could see the ref was doing his utmost to swing the game against us. 1st yellow was in the aftermath of the Ekitike goal. A goal we know would have been disallowed if it was us that scored it.
His 2nd yellow was having finally won a free kick for something the ref had been giving against us all match and basically losing his mind.

We simply can't play football in these circumstances.

I keep seeing players talking about walking off due to racism.
I want to see it when it's quite obvious there's match fixing happening.

I think it is now ingrained that Spurs can be mugged off. It happens so regularly now, always backed by the media.

it’s got to the point now that I’m not surprised by decision and have almost come to expect it.
THIS

They happily dismiss it appeals when our goals are ruled out and then defend them when THE SAME GOAL is scored against us.
And that's why I think there's more to it.
I think it's a massive fix. And a lot of interested parties are in on it, including those that broadcast the sport itself.
There are benefactors and victims decided at the outset.

The fact Shitty had the audacity to complain about being victims when they have survived SIX red card decisions is insanity.
How does one team get away with it THAT many times?
Once or twice, with no VAR you can understand.
But SIX times.
Why?
Cause it means there's something resembling a title race to keep the league interesting.

Ive wondered the same, we’re somehow champions of Europe, but relegation fodder domestically. Makes perfect sense.
Games are reffed fairly. Teams know at the outset what to expect and play to the circumstances.
If you know every touch is a free kick, either way, teams do it less.
If you get clattered and get nothing, you go and clatter the opposition. And we concede a free kick for it.

Yesterday shows we committed 13 fouls to Fulhams 11
Accept for at least 2 of them being fouls on our players that the ref gave to Fulham.
And at least 5 more that the ref didn't even award and just let them get away with. Including a goal.
Every.
Single.
Game.
