Are Referee's Reffing Us Out of The Premier League?

No, I believe refereeing is inconsistent and terrible.

I believe we have had shit decisions go against us, but other teams have had shit decisions go against them too.

You cite 5 goals - not that many IMHO, but ok 5 - how many teams with a similar amount of incidents where they claim similar injustices do I need to find to satisfy you for this - I have some time later and ill take a look

We agree ALL teams get awful decisions.

How come you totally ignore the Peter Banks issue I asked you... His metric on fouls. No spreadsheet can account for that.

How can a knee in Kudus' chest outside the box by their goalkeeper who also handballed it NOT result in any freekick to us. No foul for a running knee in the chest but he gives a foul for Gabriel who dives 2 meters. That plainly is not just wrong it's impossible to justify. If you can justify that then you must be Dermot Gallagher or Peter Banks' mum.

See that's the problem with your spreadsheet.

Muani has incorrect fouls against him for an opponent actually clearly diving, Gabriel done him up twice more at least. Trafford has no foul on him despite his clear infraction.... The other City player who fouled Porro right after also has no foul given to him. It's flawed and by looking only at the numbers not the things that happened its leading to a beige conclusion which does not feel right at all.

As for looking up teams who had 2 goals disallowed and 2 goals given against for supposedly the same offence this season... Nothing will satisfy me in truth. None of this is satisfactory. We won't get the chance to continue the scum game at 2-2 with the crowd electric and vibing up the place will we?

4 major incidents are not that special - I guarantee you I can find 4 major incorrect, inconsistent calls for every team in the league.

For instance, Man City - 100% should have had Gabriel sent off for a card - should have had Dalot sent off for a red card - should have had a goal allowed against Liverpool in a ridiculous decision - a penalty for blatant handball against Wolves - 4 huge calls that went the wrong way.

Honest question - do you watch much football outside Spurs?

He'll pick and chose what he responds to in order to keep the argument going.
If was found to be a genuine conspiracy and people went to prison, he'd still be arguing.
Some people are that way inclined.

I did not say major incidents. I'm ONLY on about the 4 or 5 goals with fouls, where we no matter what happens are on the wrong side. Which other team has been that unfortunate where the rules change to suit them being done over them in the same way. That specifically seems written only for us. Again, who else has suffered that exact thing not once or twice but 5 times?

We have also had 2 players at least not be given reds against us, make that 3 including Andre of Wolves recently. Xavi a soft straight red. Romero sent off at Liverpool but one of those yellows was protesting because he was fouled as Etikite scored. Bentancur penalty where it's his fault he didn't want his neck to be broken.
Maddison no penalty. Muani no penalty. Van De Ven no penalty. Richy no penalty. Probably a ton more I've forgotten too. That's 15 and counting though. Oh 16 with the Trafford incident I've mentioned...

Again you've dodged the Peter Banks thing.

He is not good at his job what do you want me to say???

Premier League referee Peter Bankes has faced scrutiny for several high-profile errors and inconsistent performances in 2026, including wrongly sending off Newcastle's Jacob Ramsey and receiving criticism for his handling of a Chelsea-Woolwich match.

Key controversies involving Peter Bankes:
  • Jacob Ramsey Red Card (2026): The Key Match Incidents (KMI) Panel ruled that Bankes was wrong to send off Newcastle's Jacob Ramsey for a second yellow card against Man U, ruling it was a slip, not a dive. [1]
  • Chelsea vs Woolwich (Feb 2026): Bankes faced severe criticism for his officiating, with claims of biased decisions and inconsistent foul calls, leading to a £25,000 fine for Chelsea following a 2-1 loss. [1, 2, 3]
  • Tottenham vs Newcastle (Sept 2020): Bankes was criticised for awarding a last-minute penalty against Tottenham for an Eric Dier handball, leading to an apology-like scrutiny of the rules. [1]
  • Newcastle vs Fulham (Feb 2026): Described by some fans and observers as a poor performance, with accusations of missing key fouls and inconsistent decisions at St. James' Park. [1]
  • VAR Role (May 2026): Bankes was heavily criticized while acting as VAR for failing to intervene in an incident where a player was struck in the face. [1, 2]

Yes thank you I have realized now. I've seen him do similar with many other posters and now I've fallen for it too 😭

Here is another search on google 'apart from Spurs.....'

  • Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves): Wolves have been heavily impacted by VAR, with analysis showing a net loss of 13 goals (disallowed or given against) due to decisions, more than double most other sides since 2019. [1]
  • Liverpool: Historically involved in major VAR controversies, including famously disallowed goals (e.g., Luis Diaz vs. Tottenham). As of early 2026, they were among teams with the highest number of subjective VAR "errors" against them. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • West Ham United: Specifically in the 2025/26 season, West Ham has been involved in highly contested decisions, including a last-minute equalizer disallowed against Woolwich, adding to a history of contentious VAR rulings. [1, 2, 3]
  • Fulham: While also benefitting, they have had 5 goals disallowed by VAR, highlighting them as a team often on the wrong end of these checks. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The bearhugs and handball against Chavs is not given as penalties because he isn't good at his job?! Righto mate.. seems odd he still has his job then doesn't it. Also strikes me as odd that the cunt(s) never seem to improve... 'mistakes' are not learned from. But yeah poor guy he is just a beginner and we need to understand it's difficult. WWE moves are hard to spot when they are right in front of your face.

And you talk about me not responding to other points?

Do you watch football outside of spurs?

Why do so many fans complain about him?

Mayor of London publically stating it would be bad for the public if West Ham got relegated.
Thing is, that prick is SO despised in London, that whatever he says will probably have the opposite effect...
So THANK you Mayor Khant, for persuading the whole of London to root for us.mm even though they probably didn't before you opened your mouth!

very little to do with them. for example, when a PM 'resigns' they get to gift our peerages. Like when Pricky RIshi quit, he made a load of torys peers and knights.
I just don't think it's acceptable to have a family born into obscene wealth funded by the taxpayer.
I find it incredibly hypocritical that the public are getting more and more agitated by the super rich, but still get behind this archaic nonsense.

But think who those unfair decisions benefit.... Woolwich!
See there IS an anti Spurs conspiracy!
