Are Referee's Reffing Us Out of The Premier League?

If you look at the big picture, Woolwich are top of the "fair play" league with the least bookings and zero red cards, while Spurs are at the bottom and Tottenham have had no penalties in favour all season. The evidence of the clear corruption is there.

But I'm glad more Spurs are seeing what I'm seeing every match and the WeareTottenhamTV brothers posted damning facts.

Something is going on.
What it is, is debatable, but something is off

Is it a coincidence Jared Gillett referees Newcastle v West Ham after he did not give us a penalty in the last minute v Leeds?

I'm not the type for conspiracy theories but I would not be shocked if he gave a non pen/red in West Hams favour.

United’s second goal confirmed for me what I’ve long suspected about match fixing. I know it’s Forest, so fuck them etc,

However, if the defender had controlled the ball between his hand and body like that before kicking it to safety, it’s a nailed on penalty for United.
If Mbuemo hadn’t controlled it between his hand and body then there’s no way they score that second goal.
VAR saw it, the pundits all saw it, refs always go with VAR on those calls…so why did that gurning buffoon stick with his original gaffe? It guaranteed United 3rd place and there will have been serious money involved in that outcome for their season whether through betting, extra reward for league position, a revitalised United as a “major force” for selling Sky’s product for next season… or a combination of all 3.

Between this being upheld as a goal and the Saucek handball being missed by the ref and the VAR saying not clear and obvious , so no penalty I have completely give up on common sense ever utilized in football .
The game is screwed simply because the officials have tied themselves into knots with convoluted rules and "processes", and no one has the courage to put their hands up and say we have got this wrong and we need to correct things .
They have taken a fairly simple game and made it harder to understand than the NFL .
Very , very sad situation .

Are the rules of the game fit for purpose?

According to the rules - grabbing, holding, blocking, obstruction are considered a foul. Under this rule - EVERY single corner would result in a Penalty....every single one.

There is something not right. Just shows an incredible lack of consistency throughout the season predominantly to our detriment.

The amount of cards we seem to get is a fucking outrage.

the ref in the United game needs striking off - he has deliberately gone against the laws of the game
Don't blame the ref , he could have unsighted but VAR is there for exactly that reason .
While I don't believe in the corruption angle , you have to think there may have been some inherent bias involved .
If no bias then clearly should never be in the VAR seat again , there has to be consequences .

Thankfully Newcastle demolished them so even Gillett and VAR could not save them.

I think referee's are certainly inclined to give decisions that lead to the result that they expect they should see happen

So if an underdog is leading at Old Trafford or Anfield and there's a last minute penalty shout for the home team they'll give it without thinking

We've been on such a bad run that the expected result in most games is that we will lose
