Van Gaal said: “I came very close. Very close. As a little boy I was a fan of Tottenham Hotspur with the team of Jimmy Greaves when he was the champion. Jimmy Greaves was my idol. So I was very close. I was a fan of Spurs during my childhood. Those fantastic white shirts and Jimmy Greaves.”
Louis van Gaal came ‘very close’ to managing Tottenham Hotspur

It's not just the performances of United this season, that means we've dodged a bullet, but also a comment like this. What a huge cunt. I know, we cannot expect the same from players and managers as us fans, but this isn't a guy building a career. He's won nearly every trophy available, and he's on record saying, he's retiring in two years. So he spends the last few years of a long career with that lot over the team he was a "fan" of. Well, he can fuck right off. Oh and stop calling himself a fan of Spurs.

Picture of Woodward and Mourinho has leaked too, no idea if it's legit or not though.

Would make top four ridiculously hard. Especially with Mourinho in charge. But we are Tottenham and when have we ever done anything easy?

This is a difficult one for United, they will like to think they are bigger enough to attract Guardiola, but he will probably keep his options open until the end of the season.

By which stage United could be out of the CL for next season, and then he definitely won't go there.

Or do they sack Van Gaal now and go with Mourinho....no guarantee he'll be the man they need.

Or do they appoint Giggs short term......what if that kind of goes okay but not great?.....

What if they do nothing and miss out on all of the top managers in the current merrygoround?

They should tell Guardiola either he agrees now to join in the summer, or they go for Mourinho now.

Whether they should really go for Mourinho, I'm not sure. I wonder how he will work with that squad.
