Ronaldo and Messi are “brand”.
This summer I went on vacation to the United States: several people knew Juventus because there was CR7. The interest in "soccer" has increased this year and the ESPN channel pays 6 times more rights than last year.

In Spain, too, CR7 earned more than the wages of Rayo Vallecano, Levante, Betis, Espanol, etc. It is the market.

Super Mario has been over doing his pizza intake....

I mentioned Quagliarella's beautiful goal against Napoli for Sampdoria in the other thread a few days ago, but never realised the weird and sad back story with this guy. It's been talked about on some of the pods (Guardian/Times/Totally Football/Golazzo) and here's a good article about it:

Inside the Stalker Hell of Italian Footballer Fabio Quagliarella

Incredible, and sad, story. Basically the guy had his life fucked up by a stalker who turned out to be the IT cop he'd turned to for help with some problem.

Whats happening with Napoli fogueres fogueres ? Big loss to Sampdoria.
Napoli has a good team but after the arrival of Ancelotti I would have expected 2.3 level purchases. Instead nothing. They sold Jorginho to Chelsea (he followed Sarri) and Reina to Milan (to 0 €). According to me this year is likely to be reached by Milan, Inter and Rome.

Inter absolutely hammered Parma, parma get one chance.....boom! 0-1 ironic guy who scored is on loan from inter? You wouldn’t get to do that in Britain just for that reason if the loan player comes back and bites you on the ass.

Milan seem to have flipped their strengths and weaknesses this season. Last season they had a weak attack and a strong defence but so far this time around it looks to be the other way around.

Granted they lost Bonucci leading the backline last year
