It's time we talked about World Class

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Don't think anybody is in the class of Maradona, Pele, Platini. Messi, Ronaldo - that's my definition of world class - and that's fine by me.
Bale was considered a worldie, but that didn't really make us achieve anything.
Yes we have players who are coveted by 'bigger' teams, but hopefully we can continue to rebuff them.
Our strength is our team spirit and players who are allowed to play in their best position.
And therein lies the compelling truth

The definition of world class is realitive and the term is often thrown around randomly. In my opinion only 3 players from that list make the cut as 'potentials' - the rest are all on the tier just below

Every player is world class in their own way.

Son is a world class Korean. Kane a world class family man. Eriksen a world class advertisement for hair replacement therapy. etc

"World class" is a meaningless label that pundits and the media like to throw around to generate debate, interest, clicks and outrage when they've got nothing better to talk about. Couldn't give a shit whether people regard our players as "world class" or not - I just fucking love our squad at the moment.

Agree in sentiment actually.

If you go back and look a the Ballon dor nominees from late 90s to early 2000s........today hasnt a patch on the number of genuinely world class players

There's some World Class titties over in the NSFW thread.

In this putative Earth 11 Alderweireld has a good shot at a starting birth, Kane and possibly Lloris get on the rocket. I think we kinda generally know this.
