From the new book on Poch, this is his words on Luke Shaw:
Poch:“I felt his head was not in the right place to make the sacrifices and decisions that are necessary at that age,” Pochettino says.
Shaw had been frequently visiting London during his time with Southampton and broke a promise to Pochettino by continuing to travel to the capital after a long heart-to-heart.

There is a reason he's at Utd. and never selected to play, he's a wrong'un. With Moyes, Van Gaal, Giggs and now Mourinho all questioning his attitude in public.

Just realised i'm going to have to order this now instead of waiting for Christmas.
There's going to be spoilers everywhere (not blaming you btw).

His career coming off the rails might be the slap in the face he needed. He has a lot of talent and on a free looks like bit of a no brainer.

Poch is the best places to make a judgment though

If his head wasn’t in the right place under Poch, I don’t think it will have improved under the managers he’s had since & I doubt Poch will be interested in someone who has pretty much turned into a slob.

I’d say today showed again that we need a bit more in the attacking third. If Eriksen is off form, we are screwed and playing Sissoko, who has improved, is not the sign of a title winning side.

Someone like Zaha could have made a difference today. Barkley could be the guy if Poch can work his magic. We can’t wait for ever for Lamela to come back.

Pace, trickery, rangey passing, experience and a back up striker that scores.... Yeh, yeh.... Seen this movie before.

We are destroyed by injuries to several players, and if everyone's fit, we should have an amazing squad. But I still can't help but feel we are just one special player short of next level.

We can't improve the defense anymore. Unless we spend 60+ million, there's nobody we can get to make our defense better.

Our midfield without injuries would be quite good, but there is scope for improvement, although it is not a priority.

What we need is a special player at the top, a game changer who's more direct, essentially what we wanted Sissoko to be, but more consistent and skilled. Games like yesterday is where someone like Martial would have helped us massively. Son is quick, but he's not skillful while dribbling. Dele is skillful, but he's not as quick. We need a Hazard/Sanchez/Mane/Martial like player.

We are always almost there, but never go the extra mile to be complete.

There's someone we can pay £60M for to improve the defence? I'm skeptical of even that really. If anything I'd say we could maybe spend quite less than that and just buy some more depth. But I don't think we could add anyone to the first 11 to improve the back line. And it feels good to say that.

Even with Lamela back, who is excellent in my view, I think we need more in this area. I wasn't a fan of Zaha at first but he does have some real ability and if Poch wanted him I'd be very happy with that. If not him, someone else who has something a bit special in their locker.

Apparently we are linked with Turkish striker Cenk Tosun who currently plays for Besiktas. So far he has scored 8 in all comps this season.
