I don't think we should all delude ourselves that Aubameyang won't be a massive coup for them.

But fuck 'em. Looking upwards tbh.

Still very concerned about the prospect of a Kane injury - we are significantly weaker. A suitable back up (prefer Janssen to Llorente but neither up to it) is key.

Shame that the Josh King rumours gone. Never a world beater but a more than adequate back up who can lead the line

Look, we're just going around in circles, it's best you don't respond to my posts and I won't respond to yours. If Poch gives Lamela a new contract, I will humbly apologize to you, say you're a truly great and wise man and I have the greatest respect for you. But if he doesn't and sells him this Summer, you've gotta do the same for me, agreed?

You won't though... Youll just deny it or move the goalposts yet again...

Lying peice of shit that you are.

Aubameyang is 29 in 5 months time meaning as a player who is dependent on his pace, he likely has 2 Years left in him if that at his current level. It’s a short term fix after they got embarrassed over the Sanchez fiasco.

Not at all worried about them signing him, and he will no doubt want to leave after they don’t get CL football and kick up a fuss as he’s done with Dortmund. Also Ozil will be gone for free this summer. And id rather have Ozil and Sanchez over Miki and Aubameyang.

Yeh good point, for me Sanchez is the killer, different player and position to Abam and Miki but for me one of the best players in the prem and word football for his position.

United have spent stupid amounts of cash but they have got a monster player.

IF true.

Also, that'll probably be the figure for the initial fee + add ons.

Sorry, I'm feeling in a particularly sceptical mood - this one will be gutting if we miss out.

I love Alex Jones. What a meme machine

Name me a Dortmund player who's signed for a PL team that was a roaring success?
Your arguments are getting even sillier now. So don't sign a player on his individual attributes? It depends on if previous players who played for his team did well in the PL?He won't fail because he joined from dortmund.
I hope we don't sign players based on how previous players from that club have done in the PL. It is a small indicator to take on board but not a significant reason to sign or not sign someone.

Which roma player left them to play in the PL & was a roaring success?
I can't think of any so if that's the case must have meant you don't think we should have signed lamela.
Even if some smart ass or totti names someone, there will be other good players we have that came from teams without ex players being roaring successes in the PL.
& don't forget someone has to be the 1st to do well in the PL from that club.

You rate him. Most of us don't. There's not one other club who have made an offer for him. Liverpool could do with an out and out striker and replacement for Coutinho and they aren't in for him. You claim we should be worried, and I'll claim they have stepped back. Both Mhikitaryan and Kagawa looked like world beaters at Dortmund. Nuri Sahin looked like a world beater at Dortmund. None looked great in the premier league and I doubt Aubameyang will be a better player for Woolwich than Sanchez was.

It it’s hard to deny that Aubameyang, Lacazette, Welbeck and Giroud is a pretty handy pool of strikers to have at your disposal. Definitely makes us look a bit shy in the back-up department.

Aubameyang is a good player and will score 15-20 league goals a season.

problem (or not really a problem) for the scum is that that's not what they really needed. They have a feeble midfield with Xhaka, Elnany, and Ramsey. they need a class CM, Mkh is a good player but plays more upfront. Hence, they will continue to be dangerous up front (and we don't need to lie when Ozil\Lacazette\Alexis played together they were dangerous). but absolutely atrocious in defence and midfield.

The only plus or them is that Iwobi will be far from the starting XI now

Aubameyang is a good player. Whether he'll adapt to the Prem in time to make a significant impact remains to be seen. As has been said, something about Dortmund players doesn't seem to work here. Kagawa, Sahin and Mikhtyran were just as influential at Dortmund as Aubameyang is. So fingers crossed.

What is undeniable is, is that it isn't a signing that solves any problem area for Woolwich.

I see the usual suspects are idolising Woolwich players more than they do Spurs though.

Who knew.

There’s got to be something wrong with Aubemayang though. For a 30 goal a season striker to be available for £50m and no one else in for him?

I have to admit I think Woolwich have done some really good business this window. They still have a shaky defence but scoring goals won't be a problem for them.

At this present time our squad looks the weakest of the so-called Big 6.

There I've said it!

£55m on Aubameyang and still won’t be as good as Harry Kane.

From all reports he's a massive cunt who needs to be pampered and catered to off the field. So in other words he should fit right in at Woolwich.

Still an outstanding footballer though and an excellent signing on the pitch for those cunts.

Hopefully he and Lacazette clash and find it difficult to play with each other causing unrest in the dressing room, then the whole club falls to pieces and suffers 3 relegations in 3 years and are fighting it out with Stevenage in League 2 by 2021.

Sanchez is a big loss & blow for them which I'm happy about.
But I was hoping they would be without him & the dortmund player.
I think he will get them at least 20 goals a season. He improves them from what they currently have. He could be the difference in them getting top 4.
To be fair, you think lamela's been a success so it won't take much for Aubameyang to be one.
Anyway, we will just have to wait & see.....
Fingers crossed he flops & I'm wrong!
Let that be the end of our armchair Aubameyang prediction debate ha.

Some people would pretend messi is average if he joined Woolwich. People were taking the piss out of liverpool signing salah & look what happened.
Well, thus far they have sold their best player, and signed a decent, but not world beating, centre half for 75 million. And are still 4th.where they finished last season.with no realistic chance of a pot.

Or have I missed something?

Aubameyang’s ego will be exactly what that Woolwich dressing room needs. Is he as passionate and driven as Sanchez, I suspect not? I get the impression they’ve got another moody cunt who’ll kick up a stink if it’s not going right for them. They let Sanchez run his contract down because he’s nearly 30. Yet they’ve signed PEA for £55m who is 5 months from being 29.
