Well said mate but it is the lack of transfer activity that gives rise to nonsensical point scoring.
I think the consensus is that we have a strong squad. In my mind and not just in this season but even as far as the last 30 months it is a squad tbat falls just short at the moments when the test is highest.
To me the question is does that improvement come through natural development and experience, acquisition or both, and for this season does it mean buying a player or 2 this month? I think we need a couple of players of the right calibre.
Worryingly or frustratingly though, that has been evident for much of the last 12 - 18 months, to me at least.

I have said since last summer that I like Demarai Gray and that Poch could work wonders with him, I also like Rashford as a striker and feel he would flourish here and give real competition for Kane. Ive had been a huge advocate of actually giving Nkoudou game time to prove himself, now he´s loaned out.
Ive said repeatedly that we should use our squad players, or replace them with ones we will use.
Ive been saying that since the last window. Id happily call back Janssen and use him. Id happily bring on Llorente more often. Id like us to use Lamela more.
A new AM or Winger to give us options we dont utilise with the likes of Nkoudo, Janssen and Llorente would satisfy me. It has nothing to do with replacing Son and everything to do with giving genuine competition for places to Dele and Eriksen which they currently do not have.
All been said before.
I expect some kind of reply along the lines of "So you think Nkoudou will win us the double. Ended" or similar, but really isnt my problem.
Also funny that you think CM is priority, while pining for Lucas Moura who is a AM or Winger
About as legit as any other paper. But they do know a lot about French football, and PSG in particular. They've been the breakers on all our dealings with France in the last couple of years (Clinton, GK, Aurier).

Clinton - LOL. We aslo gave them Stambouli who most definitely (not) helped them win the title that season
They were spot on with Aurier last year.
TBF on poor Clinton he's a quality player but not a good fit for us. Has done a solid job back in Marseille this season.
Hopefully this deal happens. Big question will be if it is a straight tranfer or a loan with or without an obligation to buy.
