There isn’t even much scope for “competition” for places with Harry. While he keeps banging them in, he will play. So any ambitious player will look at Spurs & think “fuck that” because the only hope of game time is through injury or suspension. Fighting for a starting spot against Kane is nigh on impossible. He is just that good that he won’t be left on the bench. Christ, he even started against Newport.
We are therefore likely to be left with players like Llorente who don’t mind picking up a pay cheque for a couple of hours exercise a day.

The problem is that his game solely relies on balls into the box or holding it up. That’s something we don’t do.
Kane is the best striker in the world, anyone coming in is going to be second fiddle. But I don’t see why they wouldn’t want to come and test themselves against the very best.
Yep this is the problem we have. I think we need to focus on more players like Son that can play as an Attacking Midfielder but also fill in up front if needed.
I suspect that this is what Poch is hoping for with Moura. A right sided player to compliment Son on the left.

This Llorente for Batshuayi stuff seems insane. Given the bad blood between the clubs, I really can't see this. That said, if it is a thing, and the sticking point is Batshuayi doesn't want to, then tell them we'll take Tammy Abraham instead. He'd be a fucking steal.

I would be very happy to trade one cup-tied striker to Chelsea for another cup-tied striker that will barely feature for us, because Harry Kane.
