Ive heard that for nearly 5 years, and we've done better every year
Read his quotes up there, Sammy. He wanted new blood in the summer. And he wants new blood now.
I didn't say he's on the verge of leaving, sammy. I said he always wants to add to the squad.Ive read his quotes
Pochettino was asked whether he and Levy laughed about the managerial links to Real and United. “No, he doesn’t laugh,” the manager said, with a smile. “I don’t get bored [about reading them] but he is maybe worried. It’s not nice for Daniel to hear all that history. Should he be worried? No – [it’s] because he’s a worry man. That is different. He suffers. Because he’s jealous about me. He’s a very jealous person. Because of the rumours, eh?”
The manager’s flippant tone illustrated both the depth of his relationship with Levy and his position of strength at the club. He was also asked whether he needed to reassure Levy about his long-term commitment.“No,” he replied. “It’s like when the sporting director or the president appears to say: ‘We trust in the manager.’ And the next game – lose and he is out. If you reassure [over] something, it’s because you are thinking in different [ways].”
Or dont they count, just because he would also like to strengthen the squad "where possible".
Also one of his quotes by the way.
I dunno about better every year but we've certainly maintained our standing and added the advantage of experience playing together in Poch's system.
And if we keep our critical players together, that will continue for so long as they're prime-aged players. Knock Eriksen, Dembele, and Toby out of the equation though, and suddenly you have some real holes to fill. Which in this market will take luck, eye-watering amounts of money, or most likely both.
I didn't say he's on the verge of leaving, sammy. I said he always wants to add to the squad.
That's alright, sammy.
If 7-10 are to go who and how the fuck do we replace what level of player are we to assume will come in, we couldn't shift in the summer so how do we get rid of all that now.So it's looking like over the next 6 months we will be losing Vorm, Alderweireld, Dembele, Nkoudou, Eriksen, Janssen & Llorente, with question marks over players like Rose, Wanyama & personally I think one of our RBs are in a fair bit of trouble.
A potential 7-10 movers to occur. We really do need to get moving with a move or two soon
But you haven't answered my question. As I answered yours.Poch wont leave though...and you wont admit you're wrong just you didnt last summer when you said he would walk, and had been shafted and there was showdown talks and that he wouldnt be here by the end of the summer and that Kane's contract was merely to sell him etc etc etc
If we can continue our "policy" of graduating Harry Kane's from the academy and finding Dele Alli's for 5m, we'll be in great shape forever.
But you haven't answered my question. As I answered yours.
One last time
If we sign no-one this window, and he walks in the Summer, will you admit he's been let down and not supported by the owners?
You asked me a hypothetical question which I answered.
Now you answer mine. Yes or No
I see you put "policy" in speech marks as if we just got lucky with no thought behind it.
Maybe you'de be happier if Kane and Dele had cost us a combined 150M
How dare we buy Eriksen when he cost 14M..should have waited and tried to buy him later for 120
You know when Spurs are fielding the Kane's and Wink's and Skipp's and KWP's for free, it is actually a policy thats showing it works.
Even our academy players that didnt make the cut are littered all over the PL and Championship
You've asked that question for the last 3 years. But you haven't answered my question. As I answered yours.

But we'll go our whole lifetimes without two generational talents falling into our laps for nothing at almost the exact same age and time. That's a miracle, that's not a policy. Never to be repeated, as likely as getting struck by lightning twice.
Eriksen was a clever under-the-radar buy for 14m in 2013. The same deal would be 40m without breaking a sweat next summer. Like Dav was (also a clever buy). The revenues go up and up and the market gets smarter and smarter.
This is the pool Levy has chosen to swim in.
So you've ducked the question. That's ok . By ducking out you've confirmed the answer I expected. But I did answer. He wont leave. So why would I have to admit something?
Ducked nothing. So you've ducked the question. That's ok . By ducking out you've confirmed the answer I expected.
No blame will ever be attatched to the owners or there transfer policy.
