Transfers January 2019 transfer thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

As I said, it's a recommendation. Not an expectation. Who bets on something they think is unlikely to happen? Hahaha.

Oh, so you didn't say Chochev was a better option than Modric? Let's go back shall we...

LMFAO LOL PWNED

Funny fact. Turned out to be his best season ever.

Laughable he says.

Ballon d'Or: Luka Modric ends dominance of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo

You've just told me to ''stop lying'' about the fact you said Chochev was a better option than Modric...

Well...

Who's the liar?

#Ended
Yes - he was a better option as he fits our transfer model. There were other players on the list too - which you've omitted to mention.

Why were we after Grealish in the summer then - please answer this

And none of this has anything to do with Milner btw

The fact you think Serie B Chochev is a better option than Luka Modric proves you have no idea what constitutes a good CM, like James Milner.

Mate, this is a fucking pasting.
If you genuinely think James Milner is the answer yo our CM problem - you're genuinely thicker than I initially feared. And that is some doing. I'm actually embarrassed for you on this one

SchmoodSpur SchmoodSpur - the big man who always demands answers - in conveniently ignores questions posed to him shocker

Milner is a superb footballer because he is dependable and has brought his maturity, experience and professionalism to that Liverpool side. It is absolutely clear to anyone who is not myopic.

Let me say this on the matter and by comparison because it is not about us getting him now or even it being an option.

Had Lloris or even a slightly younger Dembele shown that same level of leading by example we might (just might) have won a Cup in the last 3 or so years.

We don't need a 33 year old because it probably represents twilight years but it depends very much on the 33 year old in question and what they might offer. Milner for example and just theorising would add something and it is less where he would play as opposed to his presence and what it might add.
Bingo.

He's a fantastic footballer. Especially for free.

And what the embarrassed little puppy is forgetting to add is that my suggestion to buy him was to supplement a CM superstar as well.

An N'Dombele/Diawara/Berge to replace Dembele and Milner to replace Wanyama.

Further, as for the age issue, here's what his manager says...

“With Milly for sure, age is no issue. He is a naturally skilled boy, he’s such a sports guy, he is good at each sport he tries,” said Klopp.

“In life, if you are 32 in any company in the world they would tell you to wait a few years then get a real job. In football it’s like you’re already close to retirement. Some players can play until 36, 37 even 38, and because of his physical abilities I am pretty sure Milly is one of them, if he is lucky with injuries. The end is not to see, and his desire to improve is exceptional.''
