If i was Jose i would look at getting Dacoure from watford, with a view of using Rose as part of the deal, if i remember correctly he was almost gone in the summer and play Dacoure alongside Ndombele in the two.

I reckon Dacoure would be valued at around 40 mill, knock of 15 or so mill for Rose.

Keep Le celso and rotate him with Ali and Ndombele. in the summer get rid of Dier and WInks, then use Skipp as the third midfielder or understudy.

I rate Dacoure highly but he is definitely not a Dm. He's a box to box mid and we have many of them.

Be difficult to persuade Rose to go, stubborn git and he said he's staying now.

By all accounts, Rose and the club are not the best of bedfellows. Has refused any transfer and was allegedly very rude and unapproachable to a club given permission to talk to him about a move. He's digging his heals in and running contract down. He never got over Walkers big money move to City and believes the club blocked an earlier big money move for him.

Anyhoo...

Ndombele - Not sure what the plan is for this lad. It seems he's not a defensive midfielder; and he isn't especially creative. Sissoko certainly is ahead of him on the team sheet right now; especially given the help Aurier needs on that side of the pitch. Paulinho mk2 or do we alter our formation to suit him?

Lo Celso - Not suited to play wide; and Dele is our number 1 creative pick behind the attack. Did we spend 50m+ on a bench warmer? What happens to him when Lamela is fit?

Yeah, but what sort of career would he have left after 18 months not being picked to play? Surely Rose has to see the best option is for him to go and get regular football and us to get shot of him.

Or have we hit our Winston Bogarde moment?
I think he will keep his head down, train and play if and when. Not a Bogard moment but he feels slighted by Levy and will cut off his nose to spite his face. One more signing on fee in a year or so at West Ham or Everton.

Can see it happening. His missus's father worked in the same place as me until he retired earlier this year, and he was talking up Jarrod signing for us back then. He's definitely up for it, and his missus is definitely the sort to be blinded by the thought of living in London so she'll push him in to it, whether he wants to or not :eriksenlol:
Is this tongue in cheek or are you serious?

This Jarrod lad has been highly rated for some time, hasn't he?

My only question is, isn't this the exact same position that Jack Clarke (remember him?) plays in.

Fuck me, that was a weird, shambolic bit of business

I still have faith in Clarke. 18 and has so much ability. If it clicks he'll end up a shrewd piece of business but year Bowen has that WF mould play to him. Not sure he said good enough for us but he'd make an excellent squad player for the price for sure.

I'm well on board with this, but surely £20m is an underestimation - no way they don't push for at least 30 given his recent form.
:mourcry:

Edit: seeing about the contract situation now. Absolute steal in this market if we got him.

I can't see Jack Clarke ever starting a Premier League game for us. He'll come on as a sub, play the odd cup game, then be sold on to Fulham or Hull in a couple of years. In fact, maybe we'll loan him to Hull as part of the Bowen deal :mourlmao:

From these one and a half season Wolves spent in the EPL, i can surmise that this guy is overrated. Yes he is handsome and so well built, got some great shooting leg on him. But God he is static as F. Always standing way too deep when attacking doesnt move much and didnt have defensive edge on him.

I would argue Wolves would do much better with Dendoncker playing with Moutinho.

Speaking of which, we are desperate of a midfielder of Moutinho mould. Smaller build, but has enough edge and very dynamic, good in spraying passes. So if i was to choose a Wolves player, would probably be him. Yes he is old, but got at least 2 years more.
I think that is what Mourinho is looking for to be honest, he is not looking for a dynamic box-to-box player. He wants somebody to stay in front of the back 4, break up opposition attacks and be safe in possession. What Dier is doing now, but somebody better on the ball.
