Not sure what this means. Klopp has been backed...to the hilt. And I wouldn't say he's gone after the shiny players. He's identified deficiencies and filled them. We've dithered, and dithered, and get linked with certain overrated players in positions that aren't our glaring weaknesses. Or neglect to fill those gaping holes during windows where it is obvious we should have.
Klopp wanted Pepe
Liverpool wouldn’t pay for Pepe
Liverpool signed no one
Backed to the hilt?
Let’s look at their signings from the the summer of 2018 then shall we: THREE windows 4 players, one permanently first team, potentially two.
Kieta
Shaqiri
Fabinho
Aliison
Ours in the same period: Three windows, four players, one permanently first team, potentially three.
Ndombele
Lo Celso
Sessengon
Clarke
Other than Allison, can you point our what other major signings they made in that same period?
And could you tell me if you think Kieta and Fabinho have shown anything to suggest that the combined 90M spent will be better backing than the 64M we spent on Ndombele, Pochs number one target by the way.
Do you also think that Shaqiri was a better buy than Lo Celso?
Will you still laud them spending nothing when the injuries kick in?
And I will repeat it again, and again, and again until people stop pretending it didn’t happen.
Liverpool refused to sanction the Pepe fee.
Klopp wanted Pepe and they got no one.
Please explain how Klopp was backed this season.
