This is what pisses me off about football.
Aarons is decent. Not great. He's not even an inter.
Yet you can bet your bottom dollar he has a £20m + price tag.

Norwich wanted £50m for him last summer.

It's what the market will bear, no use blaming football for it. We have no right to Norwich's player unless we meet the valuation.

You have to be flexible and creative in the transfer market these days.

Levy has an eye for the market, and a good understanding of what sorts of players are promising assets and what sorts of players aren't. The rub seems to be that he's absolutely obsessed with winning a high-stakes poker game on every transfer, when the money flooding football makes those contests harder to win, and plus everyone on earth knows his strategy now.

Maybe these weirdo clause-ridden loan-to-buy schemes are Levy's pivot. We shall see.

Wow yellow card I’ve received!

Weird, a lot of my posts have received anywhere between 5 and 30 funnies the last couple of weeks.
Plus a couple hundred agrees.

Cant remember being out of order, so it’s one of two things:
1- Arcspace is out the bin
2- I didn’t suck off Poch

What a fucking bizarre cunt of a place this is, should have just stayed away when I said I would.
Shame because I was actually having a good laugh here this time.

See you in 3 days

Max Aarons looks like he could be a quality fullback. Only 20 years old and looked very solid. If Norwich go down in the summer you can bet your sweet ass that there will be Premier League clubs lining up to take him away.

Young, talented and English. Ticks Levy's boxes.
I agree. The won't let him leave now. I think we should make the deal now, loan him back and bring him in after this season. Probably there is a small issue, hope. They still have hope. And the knowledge that in summer there will be a bidding war.

Regarding Aarons:

Luckily for us, if we are interested we will probably get him.

No club bigger than us financially really need him. Liverpool have TAA, Man Utd spent huge on AWB, Chelsea have James, City have Walker/Cancelo.

Norwich will probably go down and I think we'll go for him in the summer once Norwich go down

And why not buy now and leave him to develop until the end of the season?

I think Mourinho is probably on 7 out of 10 thus far.

Not much you can do as a manager about injuries and still tweaking and turning here and there but I alsi thought he would have made us more solid.

On Eriksen I think he is just being pragmatic.

Hopefully better to come once he has a whole pre season.

The guy is very smart and still, along with Klopp the most savvy and interesting with the media.

That said he will have justification in kicking off if Levy does not back him with 2 signings this month, on permanent or loan deals.

We are in serious need.

If we buy from Real Sociedad we should buy Isak. He's a real prospect with a high ceiling, probably cheaper than José.

Was bought by Dortmund a few years ago, had trouble getting game time. Was loaned out to Willem II in January last season and banged in 13 goals in 16 games.

Now in Sociedad not a starter, but still scored 7 in all competitions.

And only 19. Not sure he's a hoofball 9, but with Lo Celso in form and Ndombele on his way back, maybe it won't be hoofball in the near future.

Didnt see anytging special about him tonight
Really? I thought he was their best player. Made Sessengnon look like a chump every time he tried to get forward and also ran him ragged in an attacking sense. Also shackled Sonny very well on the left and made a few quality tackles on him. He’s going to be an excellent right back, but I fear we’re going to fuck it if we don’t sign him this month because everyone will want him in Summer.
