Agreed.

Getting rid of Eriksen and confirming GLC will be the changing point this club needs.

Rose, Wanyama and Vertonghen next. Though happy for Vertonghen to stay until the summer.

I think we're stuck with Jan until the summer. He can still put in a shift if he doesn't have Toby as partner in defence (two old CBs don't really work well and they just expose one another). As for Rose and Wanyama, it would be great if we were able to offload both of them this window. They're just surplus at the moment.

The sooner we can shift Rose and Wanyama the better. We really need to get rid of 4-5 players, be ruthless with the situation to make space.

Rose, Wanyama, sadly Vertonghen perhaps, Dier if he doesn't sharpen up, Eriksen and I think one of Lamela or Lucas aren't needed. A little harsh on one or two but we need a squad with genuine assets and I can't see genuine justification in keeping two players that offer similar when we can use those areas to bring fresh blood in.

I agree, I think it'll be Piatek. The player wants out, Milan are happy to sell and we want him. I think there will be a break through the closer it gets to deadline day.

Apart from that I don't see there being anyone else coming in unless a really good deal is put in front of Levy/JM. I expect there to be a lot more in the summer. This is no longer Poch's team, and his philosophy of a tight squad. JM will want his own players and his own marker put on the squad. I think that's why we aren't looking to spend big this month, we have plans for the summer which are bigger.

Would love us to go for someone like Raul Jimenez from Wolves, he'd be perfect to compliment and play instead of Kane. Would cost big bucks, but is everything Levy likes in a transfer.. Young enough to add sell on value, PL ready and is what Jose would like.
Jimenez is 28 so I doubt he is young enough to add sell on value. Good player though.

Going to spend that Eriksen money I see :levywhoa:

If the guy isn't going for £21m I think he'll be a done deal eventually. A new singing won't be playing against Southampton this weekend now and the next game we have is against City after the transfer deadline so I can't see us rushing this anytime soon.

If we end up getting £20m for Eriksen and nab William Jose for c£15m and Gedson on a £5m loan that'll be top looking business if our aim was to breakeven on money spent in Jan.

Danny Rose should go abroad, his agent should have been putting feelers out to the likes of Dortmund/Inter and others 100% they'd have been interested if they knew he was willing, Inter have ended up signing Ashley Young FFS who'll end up playing LB for them.

It was 6 loans and the first 4 were miss managed. Instead of loaning him to teams he would be 1st choice, he was loaned to big name teams in the division, who wanted him as back up for their main strikers. He then went to Zaragoza in 2nd tier Spain, which earned him a loan to newly promoted (to La Liga) Las Palmas, who I'm sure would have signed him if Real Sociedad hadn't given him a better option.

30m gets you sweet FA these days and reports are saying closer to 18m. I think back up striker is a definite area we need to invest in and a 28 y/o might be ideal for someone to take the pressure off Parrott whilst being old enough to not block his route to the 1st team.

Personally, I dont really care about their price increasing and 18m or so isn't that bigger investment in the current climate.

He can also play Dele's role and I think he could play wide forward in our system too, so wouldn't be just 1 position potentially.

What younger striker that is available would you prefer?

I make it two transfers (first and last moves) and 7 loans. And he’s never scored more than 15 goals and only done that once? He’s only hit double figures three times (11,12,15). And according to transfermarket has only played CF. But if you’ve seen him play elsewhere then fair do’s?

Trying to do this in January is always much harder, the time to do this was last summer when not desperate and the rest of Europe knows it. There were decent young forwards like Dolberg and Embolo that moved for reasonable sums 15-18m.

Soo.. how good have adama traora has become !

just last summer it seem everyone was laughing and criticize hes end product . just show how you need to let young player with potential to play and evolve and not bash them over mistake or 2 .. (foyth, sess)

AC Milan are the team I follow in Serie A, as I’m Italian and even though they’ve been shit for the best part of a decade I still watch them religiously as I do with Spurs.

Piatek is such a weird case, the guy destroyed Serie A last season and when he arrived in Milan he scored 8 goals (Around that number) in his first 6 or 7 games. He honestly looked like the biggest world beater, I thought he was going to be a star. Then something happened he went on his first drought in the last 8-10 games, got a goal or two late in the season but lost his energy.

This season came around and he seriously looked shot for confidence, chances that he was burying when he first came he couldn’t even hit the target. I honestly believe he is a one season wonder and I’m not surprised there’s not many offers for him to be signed permanently, trust me on this there is a reason why Milan won’t let him go on a loan with an option. It must be obligation to buy otherwise they won’t let him go.

Also on Calhanoglu, stay the fuck away from him please. He is one of the worst players Milan has spent big money on, I can’t believe he gets a consistent run in the first team not only for the current coach but for every coach that’s come in since he arrived. I’m convinced he has some sort of dirt on the management of the club and he has to start. Terrible footballer.
