Did I read that 27 year old Daniel Alaba is into his last 18 months and that Bayern will sell. That lad can play CM better than Winks and LB better than Jan he can do both In the same game better than the aforementioned. We HAVE to try. It's a complete no brainer. He is a class winner.

Yes, sure.
While we are at it, let's throw a glove to PSG to get Mbappe (expiring 2022) and van Dijk (2023) and few others as well??
------------
For ones that did not understand irony - Alaba has been one of the worlds best fullbacks in past 5-7 years, who is currently playing in European superclub. He is currently in peak age. He might have 18 months left, but if he was to move, he will only go to absolute giga-rich and successful clubs, as he is pure world class.

Would I like to have him in Spurs - no doubt
Could it actually happen - nothing is totally impossible, but not much more likely as us signing Mbappe.

No, I was talking about whatever shit he was drinking to make him think we were getting Dybala and Koulibaly...Hang on...I've just realised what his user name is...was wondering where the US missiles came into it...

Edit: I guess he did as well...dunno how I missed this joke....

“What wonderful hallucinations those misiles give him. Could I get some, too? I beg you.”

It's clear from Jose's comments about the world not ending at the end of this season that he is already trying to downplay expectations.

I imagine he's sat down with Levy and said it will be very difficult to get top four with this shower of shit (especially with Kane out for a while) and instead will target a run in the cups and a push next season.

That being said, we can't do it all in one transfer window so I would be very surprised if we do no business in Jan.

I reckon Lo Celso made permanent and that Soumare (insert any other DM) this month.

Maybe a wildcard striker/attacker loan-type deal as emergency cover for Kane but I doubt it.

And then in the summer we go all out for full backs and a decent CB.

I'm pretty sure we'll end up making Lo Celso permanent just to give that sort of "hey we did something in this transfer window" feeling and maybe sell Eriksen. Mourinho will come out after that and say that he's very happy with the squad but we'll continue to play like shit.

Yeah your post kind of misses the obvious implication that it a complete flyer and that Bayern are open to selling. So you think we should not try to sign world class talent because we aren't going to get them. PSG for the record are not open to selling Mbappe, by the way.

You seem to be labouring under a misapprehension that I think we or anyone could get him, the point was that Chelsea the club six points ahead of us have made an inquiry. Consequently they HAVE tried to do the impossible it's called ambition. Sometimes thinking outside the box pays off. People laughed when we were linked to Klinsmann deal. Thinking like yours is actually part of Spurs current problem. We desperately need a bit of the imagination Lampard has shown. Are they going to get him fuck no, are we no. But we need to start acting like a big club that we can learn from the Chavs.
