We really don’t need to spend 60 million on this fella.

It seems to be a worrying pattern. A team performs badly and it's seen as a quick fix just to bring in more attacking players. This happened at other clubs. Of course, it doesn't necessarily mean the transfer will happen, but I believe getting a proper DM instead would also make the attacking players we currently have perform slightly better.

I think we are at the most important time in Levy’s reign. We have 2 paths to chose from here.

Invest and retain - Time to dig deep in the wallet and act like a big club. Levy wants a trophy and top 4 this season? Then act like a club who wants that and provide the resources to achieve that. The squad needs refreshing and more talent bought in. More talent leads to trophies, leads to players like Kane, Son and Ndombele staying.

Don’t invest and rely on hopes - Pretty much what has happened throughout the last 4-5 years. But the longer this goes on, the more likely Kane will move on. We all don’t want to admit it but it’s true.

There is no point in bringing in one of the most successful managers ever if you aren’t going to support him. You may as well have employed Tim Sherwood again.
Good post and all salient points but we have had this situation under poch, redknapp and now Jose, nothing changes Levy's MO he simply doesn't want or has the desire to push on.

Dear Daniel,

I may have said this before, but please, for the love of Yahweh, stop schnorring.

Yours in Tottenham,

Bill

3 goals and 6 assists in 64 games for Atleti. The times I can remember him playing for them he's been laughably bad. One of my best mates is a big Rojiblanco, we've laughed out loud out loud out loud about how woeful he's looked on quite a few occasions
I remember him being unreal against us in the champions league, scored in both games iirc

Our assistant manager was the assistant at Monaco at the time.

Ooops, the laughably bad one is Thomas Partey, a Ghanaian DM who plays as Thomas here. Jeez, he's awful, please god we don't get linked to him.

Although in Partey's defence, his goal scoring record from DM (10 in 110 games) is exactly twice as good as the more attacking Lemar's.

Swerve Daniel, swerve.
