A bit of a summary here from The Standard

Seems Palace arent in for KWP any more. I suspect we wanted one of our huge loan fees.

Edit: seems its because they want Tosun from Everton on loan. I think you can only have one PL loan from another PL club. Although I could be wrong on that.

We haven't even signed the guy yet and people are already turning on him.

Piatek is good. He's a classic striker. A poacher. Not involved much in build up play but he reads the game well and gets into scoring positions.
To be fair if people only said positive stuff when really they didn't rate him, & then he turned out rubbish. You would get people calling you captain hindsight & saying I didn't see you say he was bad for us when we signed him. I haven't seen him play but people seem split 50/50 on him so far.

I’m sure it’s been asked many times before but why all this ‘in talks/discussions’ bollocks that drag on for weeks?

we need this striker now and if our interest has been made public, why hasn’t he signed? Is it lawyers and agents and the other low life detritus?

In days of yore, the first inkling we got was the fella holding up the shirt and a short story ending with, “and has been cleared to play tomorrow”...

If we sign him, I’ll give the guy my support. Can’t pretend to know much, if anything about him. My lad does but he’s 16 and gets all his info off FIFA and YouTube...

Because unlike other clubs who actually show real ambition and intent to win things (Liverpool being a good example, getting their targets fast and early) we seem to drag every transfer out, if only there was some explanation for this...

There definitely is a limit to how many players PL clubs can loan between each other. 1-2.

Its word fodder for the papers. Transfer talk sells papers/draws clicks. The club is not going to tell the journalists the status on transfers to the pad out the updates with words like that.

Yeah, he's an Inzaghi, RVN type who always seems to be in the right place to score but has supreme movement.

He does however work harder than both.

Whilst I'd like the signing, he isn't a direct replacement for Kane but maybe that's a good thing...
He has the same problem as Kane. He tries way too hard and leaves the opposition box to try and create for the team as well. He and Kane should concentrate less on the build-up, and more on the finishing of the chances (since they're both superb in that regard).

Yup, this is often infuriating.

Minamino, the Japanese player Liverpool just signed, he plays great against Liverpool in a lost. No more than a few days later it seemed, he’s signed to Liverpool for less than €10m. That’s great business right there, it’s even arguable whether they need the player or not but for that fee you cannot go wrong.

If I remember correctly, the Fabinho transfers was pretty similar. It was a surprise Liverpool fans, there weren’t much rumours at all.

Bale could cover while kane is out and also still have a place in the team when Kane is fully fit, get it done baldy!
or he could have a place next to Kane on the hospital bed.

The return Bale rumours always seemed foolish to me. He’s 31, injury prone, and for the most part, his heart doesn’t seem to in football anymore. Sure most of the Real Madrid fans are spoiled sh*theads but I’d be too after seeing some of Bale’s actions and comments.
