If true, Levy need to stop this. It seriously isn’t the window for losing out on Jose’s targets
Indeed we shouldn't lose a target completely because of this.

On the other hand, Milan signed him for 30 million pounds when he was very prolific for a team that didn't want to lose him.

Now he's out of form (like the rest of the squad lol) and his current club are actively looking around to offload him.

I understand Levy's reasoning that in theory he should cost less now

Law of supply and demand though, innit...its why footballers aren't too difficult to turn a profit on (we've made good money on complete deadwood). Milan would like to offload him mid season but it isn't going to matter much to them whether they sell now or in the summer. We need him now. So he costs more than his "pure value" because we need to buy more than they need to sell.

This dynamic is why we've largely stayed away from the January market....it is an absolute sellers market at all times.

Jose suddenly got very tight lipped when the issue of a new right back came up in the press conference.

I’ll let her know you are interested. Don’t hold your breath.

It is for me....You lot feel like this every single January and every single summer no matter where we are, or how well we are playing.
If we were top, most of you would feel exactly the same because we need to strengthen and make sure we win the league.

For me this is GENUINE crisis.
The summer was not, neither was last January and neither was 2018.

I’m not sure how anyone could compare our situations then, to now.

Tbf, you insisted as much I the summer too.

You're not wrong mate but after Levys recent interview I have to seriously question the strategy of the club going forwards, it didn't seem very promising to me.

Our business in the summer was fantastic (albeit long overdue) and I still felt we needed to do more, however, if we approach every window in that way I will be satisfied, as long as we get deals done early.

Lots of players should "cost less" but the reality is, Levy is more than happy to take fortunes for shit players but when it comes to stumping up the cash for players who, in his eyes, are overpriced, he isn't interested.

He can haggle all he wants but at the end of the day it's going to continue to cost us going forwards and we will miss out on targets.

If this is a player Jose wants, get him, end of, if he turns out shit then the manager falls on the sword, I think a lot of us would be happy to defend Levy in those circumstances.
