Vecino incoming!..Mourinho found his Essien

Looks better than what we already have so why would anyone be against it? I don't think it'll happen but I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up if he's better than the current crop we have in that position.

I'm going based on clips I've seen so I'm speculating about his levels yes but we badly need someone in that area so ship that motherfucker in!

I can't believe there are still people claiming to be ITK on SC claiming we could sign Bruno Fernandes if we want when the guy has pretty much put pen to paper with United.
And the legion of followers utterly believe it.
They're fucking sheep.

They also believe Google or Amazon will buy our club and that Levy will be given unlimited funds as a consequence :levylol:

I certainly wouldn't believe a thing from SC, but I'm not too sure what exactly you're believing re Fernandes, all I've read online since the beginning of the week is that him to Utd is done and that we've missed out, I assume you're believing some random attention whores on Twitter, which is just as bad really...

There's a whole thread on SC dedicated to him where their resident income generators keep telling them we can sign him, he wants us, despite no evidence what so ever we even have an interest.
They've all subsequently convinced themselves he's definitely not signing for united.
I'm pretty sure they'll still believe this after he plays for united against us.

As we prepare to go into another important premier league game without a recognised striker, it sounds more like another window where the spreadsheet trumps the football team..
Looking for that risk free bargain here and there to paper over the cracks.
Tbf, it's probably why we're where we are today if you think about it.

Put yourself in any decent strikers position given the option of filling in for twenty odd games and then warming the bench for the rest of the contract.

Would you move?

That's why you buy strikers at different stages of their careers and with slightly different qualities. And beyond that you make sure rotation is a club policy, understood by the manager and the players. Aguero and Jesus both get games. We had options if we wanted them. I firmly believe that the club or Poch didn't want real competition for Harry because it is insane to go 5 seasons without a real alternative. Now we pay for it.

True. But with a bit of luck, someone at the club has realised Harry will be done by 30 if he continues in the same vein.

We really do need to be careful. Injuries could end him.

He needs to be managed and we need a second striker who we can either significantly develop or, an established player, who will get to start and will not simply be an understudy.

Relying on a single player is what small time clubs do. We need to wise up.

Maybe Jose is wanting to play a back 5. He wants to bring in another CB despite Toby resigning and Tanganga blossoming. And the RBs we are looking at are better as RWB (Aarons, Cancelo). And we haven’t really been linked to a CDM. Playing a back 5 is a good solution when you have no DM imo.

Sess Sanchez Toby Tanganga Cancelo

That’s a pretty solid defense even without a new CB signing. But we’d need one for depth in this scenario.
