It's only taken me a day but I found a response BC. Aouar played on the wing 2 seasons ago when he got his first minutes. He didn't need to be 'given' things he earned it by taking Memphis' spot. Remember? I'm sure you do. He earned the right to be placed into his favored/best position even while they accommodated your boy Fekir (making him redundant). Chances should be earned.

Aouar was about as good on the wing as Onomah was. Luckily Lyon had an idiot for a manager, but an idiot who used to be academy manager, and those three shit minutes on the wing didn’t turn out to be his only minutes in three years, he then got a run of games in his correct midfield position- and in proper 433 to boot.
He played most, as in the majority of the 2017-18 season in the AM3 and almost exlclusively in the first half of the season. I don't know if you been off to find statistical ammo but you know I watched those games. In the second half he got more time in the MF proper. Memphis took back his position in the second half of the season.
He earned those minutes and I can find my SC posts saying how much more useful he was than Memphis. Point is a youth player displaced a senior player on merit and not being coddled...just like Tanganga is attempting to do now.
