Where have I promoted his involvement?
I don’t want him to play one minute, that doesn’t mean Jose doesn’t have valid reasons for using him

Sunday people claiming we are in for Jack O'Connell, which given our squad status with home grown players makes loads of sense and personally I'd welcome. Solid player O'connell with good ceiling still to reach. I could see us landing him, and either Muriqui or the Polish striker and calling it good . We won't get a fullback I'm certain.

Not forgetting that Poch was appointed manager 12 months after starting at Spurs with responsibility for recruitment.

So who has screwed up recruitment over the last 5 years or so - over 20 players arrived but few are first team contenders.

And don't talk to anyone who follows youth (whether WindyCOYS WindyCOYS or anyone else) about Poch (non) development of academy players
This is a bunch of disingenuous bullshit and you know it. At most Poch had a say on recruitment or the final word. Stop it. No manager has the responsibility for recruitment. It is impossible.

Did Poch look like a man in full charge of recruitment in the summer of 2018? Was it solely Poch's decision to have a Sammy-Summer? Was he behaving like a man that had control of these things? This summer was Poch behaving like a man controlling recruitment? Was Jack Clarke Poch's call?

He was clearly a man picking from the seconds bin and was 'happy' to do it because he was probably promised all the pie in the sky 'once the stadium' is built. That was this past summer of the expect andmuch talked about 'painful rebuild'. Did Poch look like a man that got the rebuild he desired, gave 5 years of his life for and was more than likely promised? Or did he look like a man that was, in his mind, betrayed?

Levy murders Airfixx Airfixx entire family

Airfixx Airfixx - the club chairman had to do this for greater good of our football club. We will reap its benefit for eternity.

Hindsight says we needed more players in and out but with a net spend of over £100m already, not too many other clubs would be expected to spend much more in a single TW.
Not hindsight. There is a group of folks in here that were consistent in their call for more because more was needed then. I could go get 100s of posts of folks saying we needed more (followed by thousands of posts of the a group of reflexive morons shouting them down at the time and who have since been shown to have been wrong...and same said morons are in this here thread saying similarly simple-minded shit even though they are wrong time after time after time after time). And now that 'over £100m' has morphed to look like a more realistic figure of at least double that to begin to look like the painful rebuild we were promised.

.....You resolving to not engage in childish digs didn't last long did it?

Wouldn't you be better off concerning yourself with what's actually being discussed?

Poch made a big song and dance of being made Manager rather than coach a year after being appointed.

Of course he works within a budget - but on that budget he brought in 20+ players. Sadly not enough quality so very few improving the first team squad.

And he very publically said he didn't want a DoF.

Compare that to Liverpool where a DoF operates and Klopp has to accept the players given to him (although no doubt he has a say) - to the extent that Klopp turned down Salah, but Salah was still bought. Good news is that Klopp realised he was wrong and DoF right.

2019 started a change - Clarke bought on the basis of analytics (as Liverpool buy players, sadly the recruitment team hired from Spurs) but POch refused to deal with him.. Hopefully we will re-establish a DoF and Analystics team at Spurs to rebuild the squad (will take a few years though) after the deterioration over the last 5 years with Poch adding very few good players to the squad - hence the first team's average age is now older than half PL sides whereas it was the youngest when Poch arrived.

£100m + was spent, doubling that to £200m was never REALISTIC however much any number of fans might have wanted it.

This is the biggest piece of 1+1=3 bullshit you could have thrown out. Many examples of players Poch wanted but was not able to get and two of them are labored with silverware at Pool. Yet Sissoko, a player Poch didn't want and didn't sanction. Another example. Poch didn't recruit nor want this move. Who did?

It is laughable that anyone suggests that DL isn't in micro-managed control of this club. Laughable! Why was Poch so frustrated the last 2 summers? Was it his decision for the Sammy-Summer? Answer that.

You got a fucking axe to grind because Poch doesn't use the kids that you think are so great. They are shit. Understand that. There is no example of a kid that we missed out on that should have come through with Poch. They are average shit. Winks was supposed to be great but he is average. KWP is supposed to be good but he is average and very weak. They are shit and we are not missing out on anything. Go grind your axe somewhere more fitting.

Stop your revisionist lies.

Perhaps we shouldn't have done a Sammy-summer then or wasted time on N'jie or N'koudou who were standard Levy buys. Why buy lacazette for real money when you can get his teammate? Why buy Batshuayi when you can buy his teammate from the financially struggling Marseille?

If 200M wasn't realistic then perhaps we should have gotten GLC the year before (the Sammy-Summer) for 1/3 the price from the club we had a nice business relationship with. You know GLC right? The Argentinean national team MF that we played 2 preseasons against that surely our Argie manager knew about even before those game. That player that PSG had to move for FFP reasons in the Sammy-summer but we waited to buy the next year for 3x more.

You talk shit.
