I hadn't heard of him but it seems he's a journo based in San Sebastián, does stuff for As and Cadena Ser radio, the top sports radio channel here (with COPE), so he's no fool

He's just tweeted this by the way...

Translated:
Goodbye Willian José? Yes, he's off. An agreement is close. The deal will be around €30 million, €21 million for Real Sociedad

Where's the other 9m going? I presume there's a sell-on clause or something?

That’s good news in my book, cheers for taking the time to have a butchers mate :mourthumb:

Well you already said he 'ain't bad', so what was the point of saying that if you've never seen him play?

You fake cunt.

I said that his goal average wasn't bad.

As opposed to your wishwashy 'aint bad' but I'm not saying he's good bollocks.

LOL... How utterly delusional.

I never said it was informed, I'm not pretending that it is, I'd like to see us go for someone younger that has better value.

.....In the face of every single member that has an actually informed opinion about the player (they'ye all debating you) you're doubling down.

The last 2 pages speak for themselves....

"It's all shit... Prove me wrong"

What a life.

......Until of course it's pandering to pampered million man-children like Rose & Eriksen, then it's all benefit of the doubt, never ending forgiveness and virtuous must think positive vibes.

Levy's a cunt who will refuse to represent the clubs best interests at each and every turn; JM's the wrong guy and should be underlined as such at every turn, but those lads that are happy to openly undermine the club in the media, they're all good.

Gotcha!
Er yeah right OK.

Agree, that it sounds like a bargain. Disagree that we only need the guy to fill in when Kane is sitting out.

We need someone who offers a viable alternative, so that we don't play Kane 100% of the time. Of course, we won't be getting a striker who is equal to Kane, but we need someone, who can take some of the burden off Kane.
Yeah when I said “when kane is sitting out” I didn’t just mean when he is injured.

so I agree with you there, and I think this is a low risk deal due to the price. Willian Jose has as good a chance any striker I have seen us linked with this window, at filling lanes boots when he needs a rest.

Even though we may play differently.

I prefer the look of the Polish Fingerbanger, or as Joe would have it: Fingy

Joe Clash Joe Clash

Would be happy with either.

Apparently, we've bid £21m for this 23yo Brazilian striker? Who also starred alongside jonny depp in the smash hit; pirates of the caribbean

43 goals in 56 appearances last season lol!

Barbosa would be a superb gamble.

Throw him in the Eriksen deal.

Dunno, he's been loaned everywhere he's played, both in Spain and Brazil. Seems like until he signed for La Real he had always belonged to a team called Club Deportivo Maldonado in Uruguay, so maybe they still have some third-party rights or some such bollocks.

By the way, the picture of him in the Nike London hoodie on San Sebastian beach has the tag "GRATIDAO" which means "I'm grateful" or "Thanks"

PS: It seems that when La Real bought him for €6 million that was for 70% of his rights. Presumably this Uruguayan outfit still owns the remaing 30%

Looks like we are determined to bring in a striker, but quite a few candidates and might well be a lot of competition from Barcelona (Suarez injured), ManU (Rashford injured), Chelsea (Abraham injured) etc.

So wouldn't surprise me if we were trying to get agreement in principle with a number of clubs for their strikers, most on permanent (because the clubs want to generate cash) and maybe one or two on loans (clubs want them to get playing time). That way if one or two fall through as they prefer another club, we still have one or two strikers in play.

Its then a question of Levy sitting down with Mourhino and agreeing - which looks the better deal ?

Is the striker going to be Jose, Barbosa, Paitek, maybe Jovic or Diaz (I don't believe Levy's rumoured meeting with Madrid was about Bale but strikers) or maybe another striker not yet highly publicised ?

Think this has a few days to run before we know. Preferably getting the striker in before early next week to have them available for ManCity ?

I'm not really doubling down, I've stuck to the opinions I gave.
