No we aren’t because despite the local myth, spewed out by lazy pundits and lapped by twitter, our 2018 signing was Moura. We just got him very early, in January actually. We're talking the Sammy-summer, Sammy. You know that summer right? That's the summer where you said that doing fuck-all was the hip thing to do. Saying sell him last summer was nothing. EvenAirfixx was making receding hairline voodoo dolls and he's normally quite the glass half-full type.
Sell high, buy low works for players too, especially when they are over-valued. I'm an advocate at all times. And as far as selling from under Poch's feet is concerned then Levy should have told Poch he signs by X-date or we move on. If Poch can't get him to sign then Poch would have known he wasn't committed.
Also we had three strikers, three RBs one of which was just England’s player of the tournament in a World Cup, and KWP was still looked at as a great prospect, Eriksen, Toby, Jan, Sanchez, Son were peak, People (like now) were saying this was Deles year. Lloris had just won a World Cup, Winks was coming through, Dier wasn’t a total crock, Dembele was here, Sissoko was playing well, as was Lamela, no one wanted a LB (“Sess” was deemed an upgrade on Moura hmmmmm) and Kane was going to hit 50 goals and should never be dropped.
But go ahead and compare it to January 2020, where we have no Trippier, no Kane, no Dembele, no Llorente, no Janssen, no Sissoko KWP is for sale, Eriksen has just been sold, the team is deflated, we are bedding in new players, have a new manager and are in the middle of a full rebuild.
Fool.
