I would rather put Dier up front than bring in Giroud. Jose is not doing himself any favours with this nonsense.

Again that's simply untrue our net spend over that period averages 40 million a season and the profits from that time period is about double that, I'm not knocking a 40 million average annual net spend but it's hardly revolutionary for a pl club let alone one that's spent the entirety of that time playing in the Cl

He is at most a plan C-D if there is any truth in this.

The logic I guess is that he already lives in London so it would be easy to get him in for a medical on short notice. But as you said, I don't think Chelsea would sell to us and he wants to go somewhere that he is guaranteed starts long term.

Benteke is probably more likely by that logic but all signs point towards Piatek.
