Change the way you play. How is it that long ball is the only way we can play now?

I remember us fairing exceptionally well with Kane injured in seasons gone by with Sonny as the focal point of our attack. How has that suddenly become a non-option?

What I can guarantee is that if fans on here had watched Son play as a 9 for another team and we were linked with buying him this window they would cream their pants.

It’s not simply about booting long balls or crossing although that is an advantage, it’s also using a player to play off of, this includes passing on the deck. Think of Kane and what he brings, Giroud is not the same quality but brings a similar element.

Yeah, the ability to run in behind and stretch defences is also an important commodity. Giroud will never be able to do that.

You would honestly rather start Giroud up top than Son? If so we see football differently.

Let me make it clear, I’m not against bringing in a striker at all, I just do just agree that it’s the be all and end all to our success this season, we have far greater tactical issues to address (see earlier post). I also do not think they’re automatically a better forward than Son because “they’re tall” and don’t want to spend obscene amounts on one when it’s clear we’re operating a little last minute on this with no defined long term target.

Rondon on loan or Giroud for free would do, I don’t think I’d be starting them though.

Ooh nice username. This could be fun.

What if I told you, in this reality Morpheus never said "What if I told you"?

Because, he never (but I remember it clearly) and the dozen 'haha's responses you got, also remember it...

The businesses of Maldonado and the Spurs
THE SALE OF WILLIAN | José will be difficult on the last day of the market
31.01.2020 | 06:25 | | Reala

Donostia - No one dares to settle the continuity of Willian José. The Spurs continue without appearing with a better offer that can convince the Real to exit and this midnight the market closes without, apparently, it seems too likely that in the last hours the tables will change and an agreement will be reached. The player was still confident that the final call will occur, but there is less and less time left and even in England it begins to be rumored about the appearance of other suitors such as United, West Ham or some German team.

But if the Brazilian has been so convinced that the Spurs were going to move token and declared himself in absentia it is a matter of imprudence, but also of obedience to Maldonado (he owns 30% of his rights). Its investment fund, the Stellar Group, has eleven players assigned in different clubs that are valued at 80 million euros, while its workforce does not exceed eight million. In addition to Gareth Bale, whose agent, Jonathan Barnett, is the owner of Stellar Group with David Manasseh.
These have links with Joe Lewis, co-owner of the Spurs with Daniel Levy (they own 85.5%). Hence, if they press two of the three legs of the table until the end, everything will be possible, but unlikely, in Willian's controversial transfer to the Spurs. - M.R.
