He needs 3 years at Spurs before age 21 to become Club Trained - has 18 months at Spurs now.

He may need loans when older so maybe keeping him at Spurs for 2nd half of the season gets him to 2 years at Spurs.

Then need to be careful with future loans so he gets to the 3 year mark at Spurs (nb a loan does not count towards the 3 years at Spurs)
is he not considered to be at Spurs even on loan? thats new to me and perverse... How about the loans where they come back and train at the club a couple of days a week (loophole).

every days a school day.

I'd take Benteke over Giroud.

He's shit, but he wasn't and being with his Belgian mates and Jose might sort him out. Giroud is currently better but he's 33 and he plays for a club that's worse than dog shit.

It’s not simply about booting long balls or crossing although that is an advantage, it’s also using a player to play off of, this includes passing on the deck. Think of Kane and what he brings, Giroud is not the same quality but brings a similar element.
Every player brings different qualities. What you’re suggesting is akin to saying Giroud is a better option up top than Rashford because he holds the ball up better.

Giroud is not a better striker than Son. He has qualities Son doesn’t of course, but he isn’t a better forward.

Actually feel for Giroud a bit. If he doesn’t play he’ll highly likely be left out of the France Euro’s squad. He hasn’t played since November for Chelsea.

Yes but Son is better playing as a wide forward not a striker, by having someone to play off you enable Son to play better, it’s about team balance.
