I am not especially annoyed about not buying a striker today as the negligence was committed previously, in failing to adequately support Kane and, more importantly, have someone compete with him. We have run the team recklessly and are now reaping the consequence.

Also, failing to have a recognised striker for nearly half a season makes a mockery of any Top 4 challenge.

Levy and the board have no right to expect it and this is on them.

Think how much has just been shaved off the naming rights negotiations. No CL Daniel? We’ll call you.

We have managed to sign a winger, make a loan attacking midfielder permanent, finally end the whole Eriksen soap opera by finding him his dream move🙄, ship an unsettled northern lad back north, although he kind of over shoot Yorkshire a little bit, but north is north I suppose, and there is a good possibility we are about to finally get a broken down player in the shape of Wanyama off our books....quite the bit of activity this past week or two...

Yet the clock ticks and we are yet to secure a striker, as we try and salvage this season with our main guy out for the season.
Top 4 is still more than a possibility, we have a favourable run in the FA cup and of course the CL is still a possibility, all be it a slim one, but we said that last season too....
Failure in the striker department isn’t just failure if it doesn’t happen, it’s down right negligence, there simply isn’t any excuses, I mean we aren’t trying to sign a prime Robert Lewandowski, just some cover, so let’s get it done Tottenham!!

If we don't sign a striker then my hope (and its a big hope) is that with the signing of Bergwijn, Gedson and Ndombele returning to full fitness, we'll have enough dynanicism going forwards with our midfield and front three that we wont miss a striker too sorely...

Its wishful thinking and may make for some frustrating games where we cant find the back of the net, but theres still a lot of talent in our squad and we've got quite a few options at least, albeit without a striker.

Always fans saying we should wait. Let’s wait for summer etc etc, let’s not panic buy. Load of bullshit, we have had a whole month to sort out this issue. This Kane injury hasn’t just come up. We knew full well he was going to be out the whole season. The quicker Levy and ENIC fuck off, the better it will be for the whole club

I'm on the fence tbh

I think they've done enough good to have my blessing to continue but on the other hand the fact that it took getting to a champions League final back to back world record profits to finally spend significant sums of money is cause for concern.
