Going into the second half of the season, latter stages of the Champions League and an FA Cup run with no recognised striker is inexcusable.

I understand we might have targets we would rather sign in the summer, but we’ve gone years in this situation.

We’ve resulted in chasing Chelsea’s third choice striker to make him our first and only choice striker.
No point in bring angry over neglect of squad positions because it has been going on for years nothing will change just have to accept it for what it is and be happy we are not doing a Leeds.

is he not considered to be at Spurs even on loan? thats new to me and perverse... How about the loans where they come back and train at the club a couple of days a week (loophole).

every days a school day.

Sadly a loan means the temporary transfer of a player's registration so loans don't count as part of a 2 or 3 year period for u21's or club Trained - Spurs first found out about that the hard way under 'arry with one of our budding stars who had been loaned (cant recall who now) and couldn't qualify as u21/club trained.

So by keeping him in house for the 2nd half of the season, next year he will be eligible for List B (u21) - currently he counts as an overseas trained player, and that would continue next season if we loaned him out.

Also means he's completed 2 of the 3 years at Spurs needed before the age of 21 to become a Club trained player, which may simplify future loan decisions.

Still been a good window chaps. We needed this start to the rebuild in the summer, but for whatever reason, seems like Poch and Levy fell out over it then and now we're happy for Jose to start the rebuild.
The players we got rid of, would have been done anyway whoever was manager.
We got one in, the other is a stop gap imo, Gedson is a low fee for 18 months.
We've run out of ideas and started chasing Giroud at the end of the window, we've recalled Parrott, a player who wasn't deemed ready. RS is now a left back, when previously said he wasn't.
It just shows how much he's having to duct tape things together.

We're signing fuck all today.

If we sign ANYONE...and I mean ANYONE, I will change my username to a name of ArcspacE ArcspacE 's choice.
I've just done a Danny on this lad "Anyone"

He's 33, plays in the Belgian 7th tier, is a striker and has scored 2 goals in 376 appearances. Both came from crosses which hit him on the back of the head, as he was waving to his Mum in the crowd at the time.
He's of African/Chinese heritage and was recently on holiday in China where he contracted the Coronavirus.
Jose has looked at him a few times and likes him. JM is also friends with his agent Gius Mo'Dosh.
So it's a definite goer and you will look really silly having to change your username.

By the way his name is spelt N'eewun, you illiterate cunt.

xG with Kane and Poch (12 matches): 1.2

xG with Kane and Mourinho (9 matches): 1.5

xG without Kane (3 matches): 1.7

Admittedly an almost uselessly small sample size, but think of the positives, folks! Trending upward and kept trending upward even after the Kane injury. A new winger to free Sonny to play up top where he is better than Lucas. Lo Celso is good! Ndombele is healthy! Winks is becoming more useful! TANGANGA!

not really mate. Would be a good window if we signed a striker we desperately needed. Would be a great window if we signed a right back and defensive midfielder. We have signed a bunch of players in positions we don’t really need. We have no striker now for the whole of the season, utter shambles

Nobody signs large numbers of players in January - few quality players available so forget your pipe dreams.

Signing the likes of Bergwijn absolutely essential - replaces Eriksen as an AM and adds goals/assists particularly necessary when best case is a 'non top striker' coming in.

Its been quite clear from Day 1 with lack of rumours of DM's and RB's that manager does not share your ideas of priorities.

I must say it is stunning the mental gymnastics our resident melters find to have a go at policy.

We have a stronger squad now than we did in December.

But still they criticise.

Yes we are.
But not as much stronger as it was needed.

It is not about melting. We have been objectively pathetic this season.
Out of last 7 games we have won 2 drawn 2 and lost 3. Over the whole season we have gathered 1,4 points per game - tempo in which we will end the season at 54 points (and with that there is not even sniff of CL football).

Since Jose took over we have managed 2 clean sheets out of 12 games. Season total is 3 out of 24 games. We went 3 games in a row (270 minutes!!) without scoring a goal in league and this run included Watford and Soton (both in last 5 places at the time).

I mean this make it dreadful reading... at least for someone who supports this club. To neutral it might be "meeh" ofc, I cant put myself in such shoes.

Before the transfer window opened we all could identify issues in the squad -
- We have exactly 0 capable DMs and we just fail controlling games week after week after week. New DM badly needed - no solution
- We have uncommitted players who drag down the team moral in Rose and Eriksen, need to be axed - done (!) good
- We have exactly 0 targetman kind of attackers and the position has been instrumental to Mou game plan. We need to get another striker - no solution
- Coach likes to play with fast wingers. We have 2 in Son and Moura. And Moura has been right about dogs*hit overall managing 1 goal or assist for every 250 minutes, and failing to create any room or chances to teammates. We need more options there - done (!) good
- We have kind of injury crises in midfield department with Sissoko long term absentee and Ndombele being more injured than available this season. Need more power to midfield - done (!) got Gedson in and emergence of Lo Celso helps to mitigate the problem
- Our fullbacks are not good enough / not enough options that would be effective both in defense and offense state - no solution - moved on players from these positions that were anyway almost frozen out in Rose and KWP but I would not call pushing Tanganga to either flank if needed and otherwise relying only on Aurier and Davies reasonable addressing of this problem

So I would say we have addressed 3/6.
This is not enough, considering how bad we have been up to now. It might have been good enough if we would be just nearly outside of top 4. With 1 point or smth. But still leaving 3 glaring issues into the team is inexcusable negligence ! It shows either that our structure does not work or our leaders don't give a fu*ck how we are doing in sporting terms.

Constructive as ever.

What do you actually contribute to this place other than cunting everyone off?

Fucking pea brain

I don't usually put people on ignore, in fact I don't have a single person on ignore on here, but I'll make an exception for you, You're a yappy little dog, who thinks he's some kind of hard man.
20 years ago I would have ironed you out and thought nothing of it, but I'm an old man now and I'm not going to be dragged into all that by some cunt on the internet.

You flannel.

Go on, beat him up.

He's been calling you all sorts of names on here mate via coded messages. Everyone can see them except you.

Bang out of order IMO.
