Think you're being very negative ... here's a quick reminder of another player with muscle issues

in case you don't know that's Ronaldo, he got the muscle problem sorted and has had only one major injury since (59 days torn ligament in 16/17) ... and he plays even more than Kane.
Not sure what that demonstrates..... that’s fuck all .... the odd long week out every couple years or so

blokes a well oiled machine

what point was you making ?

oh wow you mean it’s harder than keyboard bangers think it is to find the right player and then to come to an agreement with not only that player but also their club in the middle of a season???
Now I’ve been a huge backer of the club through the last windows but this one has been unacceptable in terms of signing a striker.
The two new guys are great and I’m over the moon about that.

But, we’ve had three strikers reportedly interested in joining us, Piatek, Jose and Giroud, while the manager says it would help us to have one.
For me, any target looked at should be good enough.....so if they’re good enough now, they should be good enough in two years, you can’t only look at the future and building.
I’m actually sick of never, ever reaching this magical future where everyone is fit and on form at the same time.

Kane was injured a month ago. If you’re serious, make a serious bid for a player you actually want.

It's very hard to sign a striker in Jan.

I don’t disagree with any of this. It’s very disappointing. But I don’t think it’s fair to blame Levy and only Levy. The January window is difficult to operate in. And panic buys in this window rarely work out. Chelsea and United are our main competition for 4th and as of now both have also failed to bring in a striker when they’re in need. It’s not as easy as it seems.

Now, if you want to blame Levy for mismanaging previous windows, whether its buying or selling, which ultimately put us in the position....that’s completely fair.

My assumption is that they’ve targeted a striker that they want to bring in this Summer. Dembele or Jovic; that sort of signing.

Just like we’ve been working on Bergwijn for a number of months, I expect that same thing is underway for a 9.

Yeah, the ability to run in behind and stretch defences is also an important commodity. Giroud will never be able to do that.

You would honestly rather start Giroud up top than Son? If so we see football differently.

Let me make it clear, I’m not against bringing in a striker at all, I just do just agree that it’s the be all and end all to our success this season, we have far greater tactical issues to address (see earlier post). I also do not think they’re automatically a better forward than Son because “they’re tall” and don’t want to spend obscene amounts on one when it’s clear we’re operating a little last minute on this with no defined long term target.

Rondon on loan or Giroud for free would do, I don’t think I’d be starting them though.
“You would you honestly start Giroud instead of son” ? No. But then I never actually said that did I ? Anyway we ain’t getting Giroud anyway so it’s a pointless argument. And I think we both accept that a striker was necessary.

A shame but the thinking is probably that we have added to the attacking options with Bergwijn meaning we are not going to lose any pace when moving Sonny to the striker position which of course we did before. Risky but could work out.

Either way none of our rivals seem to have improved drastically so as you were i guess.

The club isn't a serious player in anything mate other than making money it's why we always show ourselves up for making out we are big time Charlie's but in reality we flatter to deceive.
