So, according to this article, Levy discussed the purchase of these 4 players 😁😁
I would be very happy if Spurs "only" managed to sign 2 of them, namely Donnarumma & Hakimi
It's a bit disappointing though that a purchase of Mbappé was not discussed as well...but one can't be too greedy 😎

Giuanluigi Donnarumma
Nordi Mukiele,
Achraf Hakimi
Fabián Ruiz

LOL..... You're confusing yourself fella.... I simply acknowledged the differences.

........There certainly ought to be too for an additional 50m quid!

I feel this is a circular argument..... For me; it's simple. Unless Conte has a distinct desire to play 352, then blowing 60m on Maddison is misguided. That money is better spent improving the 1st XI..... Potentially a Son replacement.

Conte's contract runs out in less than 6 months. In no fucking way should we consider his wishes for that kind of investment if he does not commit.
We only have Kulu as creative / playmaker type in the side.

And once more - for 60 mil you do not get Son replacement that would do better than Maddison.
That leaves you 10 mil short of Isak and lands you Raphina.

Both of whom do not HG quota in any way.

Well, that’s not really correct, the article says this:

With that in mind, Express Sport hypothetically assesses four Paris Saint-Germain players that could be of interest to Spurs further down the line -

It's fairly obvious that the article about those players is totally hypothetical and was not to be taken seriously but I was referring to the headline where "hypothetically" was not mentioned. And my reply was not meant to be taken "seriously" either
My point is why even bother to mention those players? Well, "down the line could, of course, mean when Donnarumma & Hakimi reach the end of their careers

I mean...
Hear me out - I hate dictators and human right abusers money.

BUT!
We are talking about MINORITY shareholding.
Guess what, majority would be left on current owners.

So we can sell them 10% of the club for 200 mil EUR.
Put that money into improving squad quality and scouting system.

And then let Levy fuck them mercilessly for years, make our books look worse and then offer them 10 mil to buy out their 10%.
If they don't agree, fuck them some more, embarrass them publicly.

That's how minority shareholders are treated anyway.
so why not take some money and screw them over

You might want to double your investment figure or halve the percentage.

ENIC are an investment company they invest the yearly profits into the club ie transfers, contracts etc. They make their money when they sell the club.
The club has always been for sale for the right offer it just been about ENIC maximising their profits ( building the stadium, training ground)

Yes.
I agree what you say.

But answer this - is the potential fee (and hence the profit) higher or lower if the club would achieve more success?

welcome mbappe donnarumma etc :contefists:

What's left right now ?

"Doing things right" if you sum it up shortly.
I see very little we could be blamed of, outside this weird Super-League-thing.

We don't buy players for the money some oligarchs have stolen from population of the country through corrutption.
We do not inflate prices of shit or average players to unimaginable heights so that only option for others would be also to get some blood money on board to compete.
We do not push our cost levels to the extent that we could be pushed to sell our most valuable players, if there are any setbacks.
Owners are in fact NOT milking money out of the club through dividends or high yield loans.
We don't launder money through some weird "sponsorship" deals.

If anything, I feel that we are doing thigs "too right" or correctly.
That is not comment about footballing side - cause I agree, in prior to Paratici appointment, our scouting and recruitment were fucking awful.

But generally I feel that big part of the problem is also the fans / public. Such things I listed above are happening. But worst part is - everyone accept it and even make it as standard for everyone. For example if player X is on 100 kpw (which is most likely YEARLY salary of teacher) + performance based bonuses, then there some geniuses who come out and laugh / mock the club for paying "so little" for playing football. Or at times if there are players that club sees fair value of being 20 mil and selling club can set their asking price to be 40 - then there are some who come out laughing about us "being cheap" for not paying whatever price the selling club ask.

I don't understand it. At all.
To me it is much more impressive achievement to find a player on reasonable price and unherit a gem like that.
To me, some salaries in modern game are making me sick in the stomach.
But people accept and glorify such shit as norm. Why? How? For how long?
